Chapter 236 - Chapter 3: Peace, Briefly

They actually made it.

Not through a battle.

Not through strategy.

Just… through exhaustion and momentum.

Somehow, a full spread of pizza ended up in front of them—far too many boxes for what should've been possible in a cursed battlefield, but nobody questioned it anymore.

Not after everything else.

Hakari was already on his third slice.

"…This is peak life."

Yuji was eating like he hadn't stopped moving in days.

"…This is so good…"

Kirara sat more calmly, but still clearly enjoying it.

"…This is… acceptable."

Ryu leaned back, holding a slice between two fingers.

"…Not bad."

Uro ate quietly, still scanning the room out of habit more than need.

Kashimo finished his portion quickly.

"…Simple. Effective."

Yorozu stared at hers for a moment before actually eating it.

"…Strange… but satisfying…"

Higuruma ate slowly, methodically.

Like even pizza had rules to him.

Choso sat between Yuji and Takeru's space like he didn't want either side to disappear again.

"…Eating together… is good…"

Hana was quieter than usual, watching the group more than the food, Angel calm within her.

Gojo leaned back casually.

"…You guys are actually just having a break, huh?"

Megumi exhaled slightly.

"…Feels unreal."

Yuta nodded once.

"…We needed this."

And then—

Takeru finished his last slice.

He didn't speak.

Didn't stretch.

Didn't move toward a bed.

He just paused.

For a fraction of a second.

Like his body finally decided it was allowed to stop.

Then—

he dropped.

Not dramatically.

Not slowly.

Just… straight down.

Hakari blinked.

"…Wait—"

Yuji turned.

"…Takeru?"

Kirara's eyes widened slightly.

"…He just—"

Ryu sat up slightly.

"…Out cold."

Uro frowned faintly.

"…He didn't even prepare for sleep…"

Kashimo stared.

"…That's it?"

Higuruma adjusted his posture.

"…Total depletion after sustained output."

Choso leaned slightly forward.

"…He needs rest…"

Hana stepped closer instinctively.

"…Is he okay?"

Angel's presence shifted subtly, confirming stability.

Gojo crouched slightly beside him.

"…Yeah."

A pause.

"…He's fine."

Then a small smile.

"…Just finally hit his limit."

Yuji scratched his head.

"…That's kinda impressive…"

Megumi looked down at Takeru.

"…He carried too much for too long…"

Hakari exhaled.

"…Yeah… he's been doing that the whole time."

Kirara nodded slowly.

"…He finally stopped moving."

Ryu leaned back again.

"…Respect."

Uro stayed quiet.

But her gaze softened slightly.

Kashimo turned away slightly.

"…Rest is part of strength too."

Choso remained close.

"…Brother is sleeping…"

Gojo stood back up.

"…Alright then."

He stretched slightly.

"…Let him sleep."

And just like that—

for the first time in a long time—

the strongest thing in the room wasn't fighting.

Wasn't calculating.

Wasn't planning.

It was resting.
