Chapter 256 - Chapter 1: Reset With Memory

The cabin vanished in white light.

No warning.

No countdown.

No dramatic final words.

Just one decision made by Takeru—

and the Narrator answered.

Reality folded.

Past, present, grief, victory, failure, death, timelines, colonies, curses—

all of it was pulled apart like threads and rewoven.

Then—

ground.

Stone.

Open air.

A familiar courtyard.

Jujutsu High.

But not the version anyone knew.

This was younger.

Cleaner.

Less haunted.

The trees were smaller.

The buildings newer.

The air lighter.

And people were everywhere.

Young Gojo.

Young Geto.

Young Haibara.

Young Utahime.

Young Nanami.

Young Mei Mei should have been there—

but she wasn't.

No one questioned it.

Not yet.

Then the others.

Appearing in bursts of light across the courtyard.

Yuta.

Takeru.

Maki.

Yuji.

Megumi.

Tsumiki/Yorozu.

Hana.

Hakari.

Kirara.

Higuruma.

Kashimo.

Ryu.

Uro.

Choso.

Yuki.

Shoko.

And more.

Everyone landing in the same place.

Same world.

Different eras.

Same memories.

Yuji looked around wildly.

"…We're back?"

Megumi narrowed his eyes.

"…No. Earlier."

Yuta touched the ground.

"…It's real…"

Maki scanned the campus.

"…And we remember everything."

Hakari stretched.

"…Now this is a gamble I like."

Kirara stared at the younger buildings.

"…This is deeply weird."

Kashimo grinned.

"…Excellent."

Higuruma adjusted his tie instinctively.

"…Temporal restructuring with retained consciousness…"

Uro looked upward.

"…Disgustingly unnatural."

Ryu laughed.

"…I love it."

Inside Takeru's mind—

darkness stirred.

A familiar presence returned.

Sukuna opened his eyes.

"…Tch."

A pause.

"…You dragged me into this too?"

Takeru muttered under his breath.

"…You live in here rent free, man."

The sky rippled.

The Narrator's voice descended over everyone at once.

Clear.

Impossible.

Everywhere.

"The reset is complete."

"All relevant participants retain prior memories."

"Those displaced from future eras are designated Outcasts of this Timeline."

"Outcasts will not age until the point their original time would have begun."

"You have been granted continuity without decay."

Silence.

Then immediate uproar.

Hakari pointed upward.

"…Can we bet against the voice?"

Hana looked stunned.

"…So… I stay like this?"

Kirara crossed arms.

"…That's convenient and horrifying."

Nanami, younger but remembering everything now, rubbed his forehead.

"…This is already exhausting."

Young Gojo looked around at the crowd of future monsters and legends.

Then at Takeru.

Then grinned.

"…You actually did it."

Young Geto's eyes moved across everyone.

The strong.

The broken.

The redeemed.

The dead returned.

"…This many lives… in one place…"

Haibara was already waving at everybody.

"…HELLO FUTURE PEOPLE!"

Young Utahime screamed.

"…WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM!?"

Takeru stood in the center of it all.

Breathing slowly.

Watching people who had died now standing again.

Watching burdens set down for a moment.

Watching possibility become physical.

Yuta stepped beside him.

"…You changed everything."

Takeru shook his head.

"…No."

He looked around.

"…We did."

Inside his mind, Sukuna smirked.

"…This will be entertaining."

And in the courtyard of a younger world—

history waited to see what would happen when everyone remembered.
