Tokyo Colony 2
Takeru had barely finished walking past everyone when he suddenly stopped.
His eyes widened.
"…Wait."
Hakari looked over.
"What?"
Takeru's eyes lit up.
"HE SAID IT."
Everyone stared.
Takeru closed his eyes.
FLASH.
His consciousness immediately switched back.
The Tombs of the Star Corridor
Kenjaku was still standing there.
He had just finished looking at the empty ice cream cone.
Takeru's eyes opened.
"FAMILY BONDING! YOU SAID IT!"
Kenjaku froze.
"…You came back?"
Takeru pointed at him triumphantly.
"You said it!"
Kenjaku stared.
"…I said it quietly."
"I HEARD YOU."
"You weren't even here."
"I have Six Eyes."
"That does not explain how you heard me from across the city."
Takeru grinned.
"Family bonding transcends distance."
Kenjaku pinched the bridge of his nose.
"…Please leave."
Takeru laughed.
"Okay, Dad."
Kenjaku sighed.
Takeru closed his eyes again.
"See ya!"
FLASH.
Tokyo Colony 1
Takeru's consciousness switched into his other copy.
His eyes opened.
Yuji looked over.
"…You're back."
Takeru nodded.
"Yep."
Nanami adjusted his tie.
"Where were you this time?"
Takeru smiled.
"Family bonding."
Everyone stared at him.
Megumi slowly looked toward Yuji.
"…I'm not asking."
Yuji nodded.
"Good choice."
Takeru stretched.
"Anyway, what's happening here?"
Nanami sighed.
"Nothing particularly unusual."
Takeru smiled.
"Perfect."
Somewhere deep underground, Kenjaku was probably already regretting buying that ice cream.
