Lurgard.
Nightfall came slowly, dragging silence along with it, yet my mind remained anything but calm.
I lay on my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling while rolling from one side to another restlessly. No matter how many times I shut my eyes, Theresa's face kept appearing—her angry expression from earlier.
Everything about her filled every corner of my thoughts until it became impossible to think of anything else.
I let out a frustrated groan and dragged a hand down my face.
"I'm going insane…" I muttered under my breath.
All I wanted was to hold her, even if it was just once. To pull her into my arms and cuddle her to sleep peacefully.
Knowing she was still angry at us felt like some cruel punishment specifically designed for me.
And the worst part?
I couldn't even blame her completely.
The way we reacted earlier at the parking lot had clearly overwhelmed her.
Still…that Micheal bastard irritated me beyond words.
I clicked my tongue and shut my eyes briefly.
