Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

After the party, everyone went home. Taylah sat silently on the bed, not really waiting for him, yet her heart raced with anxiety.

She tugged at her dress, still in her party attire. Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching, sending a chill of fear through her. His words echoed in her mind.

The doorknob turned, and Arjan walked in. He came up to her and grabbed her wrist. "What do you want?" she asked, taken aback by his sudden action.

"You dare to threaten me, huh?" His arrogant tone made her shudder. He dragged her outside the mansion. She struggled against his strong grip.

"Let go of me, Arjan," she protested. "Where did your arrogance go, Mrs. Davier?" he sneered at her.

He headed to the parking area of Davier's mansion and threw her into the car. Her back slammed against the seat, causing a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She hissed in discomfort and clenched her dress.

He started the car, and she didn't dare to say a word to him, feeling as though he was a monster ready to devour his prey.

He drove straight to the hospital, leaving her confused. They both got out of the car, and he dragged her inside, heading for the gynecology department. Fear washed over her.

She had no idea what he intended to do. They stood in front of the doctor. "Perform an abortion on her," Arjan ordered. Panic surged through her at the word "abortion." The doctor looked at them, confused. "No... No... I don't want an abortion... Please... Don't do this... it's your child..." she begged, cradling her belly.

He pinched her chin, his expression cold. "Do you really think I married you because of what's in your belly? Your dirty trick won't work on me, just like with other women," he sneered. Her eyes widened in shock. "So, will you do it or not? Tell me, or I'll find a way to make you," he threatened the doctor, leaving the man with no choice.

Two men approached to take her to the operating room. She clutched Arjan's shirt, refusing to let go. "Please don't hurt my baby. The baby is innocent. Don't do this," she pleaded, her silver eyes filling with painful tears that streamed down her cheeks. Meanwhile, a sharp pain shot through her abdomen, and she gasped.

They led her to the operating room, and she felt powerless to stop what was happening. As the pain continued, she whispered to herself, "I'm sorry, baby. I can't protect you. I thought marrying him would keep you safe from bullying in the future, but I was wrong. Your father is more cruel than I ever imagined." Tears fell from her eyes as she closed them, feeling utterly helpless.

They performed the abortion procedure. Since she was in her first trimester, it was relatively straightforward, and she wouldn't need to stay in the hospital. There were no complications, and after about 20 minutes, the doctor entered the room.

"The operation was successful. I'll prescribe some medication. You can take your wife home now; there's no need to stay in the hospital. The bleeding should stop within four or five weeks, possibly even sooner," the doctor informed Arjan. An evil grin spread across his face, showing he didn't care about either her or the child.

They moved her to a general ward. When she regained consciousness, she felt more pain than before, as if something had been violently scraped from her body. Arjan came to see her, and hatred filled her eyes as she turned her head away. "How are you feeling now?" he asked with a grin.

"You're just a monster," she replied, tears streaming down her cheeks.

He grabbed her hand and pulled her along, causing her to stumble to the floor. He dragged her outside, and she struggled to walk properly, the pain between her legs intensifying. Once they reached the mansion, he dropped her off and left.

Standing in front of the mansion, she felt the weight of what she had lost. The pain pierced her heart more than her body ever could. As she walked inside, her heart ached with every step, and she stumbled.

Taylah went to her room and tried to open the door, but she lacked the strength to do so. Sliding down against the door, she curled up on the floor, resting her head on her knees.

She regretted her decision to marry him. If she hadn't, her child might still be alive. Anguish filled her, and she couldn't help but curse herself. Suddenly, she felt a warm hand on her shoulder. Curious, she looked up, and when she saw who it was, she scoffed.

"Are you happy now, Ethan? Is this what you wanted to see? Your dreams have come true. Come to laugh at my misery, huh?" Her cheeks flushed with anger.

Ethan's heart shattered at the sight of her condition. He knelt down and reached for her hand, but she slapped it away.

"Don't touch me!" she shouted.

"Taylah... please, listen to me..." he tried to reason with her.

"Because of you, I lost my child. If you had trusted me from the beginning, I could have explained what happened," she said, her eyes filled with hatred. He was taken aback by her words, unable to believe that Arjan had forced her to abort the baby.

"I loved the wrong person and married the wrong person. You've ruined my life," she said, backing away. Each of her words stabbed at his heart, filling him with guilt. She pushed him aside and got up from the floor, leaving a stain of blood behind.

She opened her room and stepped inside. He couldn't bear to see her like this; the charming smile she once had was gone. It felt as if his heart was being crushed under a weight. The area was filled with the smell of blood, and he ordered some maids to clean it up before leaving.

She went straight to the bathroom and turned on the shower. The room quickly filled with the metallic scent of blood.

After 20 minutes in the shower, she emerged wrapped in a towel. The bleeding hadn't stopped, and she had no idea when it would. After all, this was her first abortion, and her hatred for Arjan deepened even more.

In the Bar

Arjan swirled the wine in his glass and took a sip. Suddenly, Taylah's pitiful face flashed in his mind, causing him to jerk for a moment.

However, there was no guilt in his eyes. He downed the last sip of wine in one gulp and slammed the glass onto the table before walking toward the door and leaving the bar.
