Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Siege of the Sky Fortress

The sky over the East China Sea was no longer blue; it was a swirling vortex of gold and white energy as I broke the Mach 5 speed barrier. My 175cm frame was encased in a White Nova aura so intense it melted the clouds before I even touched them. Behind me, Xiao Yan was a streak of blue lightning, struggling to keep pace with my divine acceleration.

"Li Xian, wait! The 'Olympus' Sky Fortress is protected by a Level 100 God-Slayer Shield!" Yan's voice echoed in my mind, filled with a fear I no longer felt.

"Let them use their 'God-Slayers', Yan," I replied, my voice sounding like the hum of a thousand stars. "Today, they learn what it means to face a daughter's wrath."

In the distance, the massive floating island of Olympus appeared, bristling with heavy railguns and guarded by three 'Martial Saints' hovering in the air.

10... 9... 8...

The vision hit me. I saw the railguns firing a concentrated beam of anti-matter that would vaporize any normal cultivator. But I wasn't just a cultivator anymore.

3... 2... 1...

"Absorb!" I commanded.

I didn't dodge the anti-matter beams. I opened my wings wide, letting the dark energy crash into my Nova aura. Instead of destroying me, the energy was purified and added to my own strength. I became a blinding comet of white fire, slamming into the first Martial Saint.

BOOM!

The Saint didn't even have time to raise his shield before he was sent spiraling into the ocean. I punched through the primary shield of the fortress as if it were a soap bubble, landing in the central plaza with a shockwave that cracked the titanium floor.

"Li Xian!" A voice called out from the smoke.

It wasn't a dushman. It was an old man in a tattered police jacket—the same one my father, Imtiyaz, used to wear. It was Commander Chen, my father's old partner.

"Chen? Why are you here?" I demanded, my wings flared and ready for blood.

"I've been waiting ten years to give you this, Shifa," Chen said, his hands trembling as he handed me a blood-stained digital chip. "Your father knew this day would come. He knew the Council would try to erase his legacy. This chip... it's the Master-Code to the world's energy grid. He died to protect this for you."

[ Sync Level: 250% — Sovereign Ascension ]

I took the chip, and as it touched my skin, a holographic image of Imtiyaz appeared for a fleeting second. He wasn't a police officer in the hologram; he looked like a King.

"Yan, get the people ready," I said, looking at the High-Overseer's tower. "I'm not just here to kill Zhang. I'm here to delete the Council from existence."

I slammed the chip into the main terminal. The White Nova energy flowed like a digital virus, turning every Council screen in the world into a broadcast of my father's truth.

The siege wasn't over. The real 'Dhamaka' was just beginning. The heavy blast doors of the Olympus Inner Sanctum didn't just open; they disintegrated under the pressure of my White Nova aura. I stepped into the command center, my 175cm frame radiating a heat that turned the air into plasma. Commander Chen followed close behind, the digital chip glowing in his hand like a dying star.

"Li Xian, stop!" High-Overseer Zhang's voice echoed from the giant holographic screens. "You are destroying the only system that keeps this world from chaos! Your father, Imtiyaz, was a traitor because he wanted to give power to the weak!"

"He didn't give power to the weak, Zhang," I growled, my voice vibrating with the power of the 'Void Heart.' "He gave them Justice. Something you've forgotten."

[ System Alert: 500 Heavy-Combat Mechs Initialized ]

[ Target: The Sovereignty Successor ]

10... 9... 8...

The vision showed the floor opening up. Five hundred 'God-Killer' robots were rising, their cannons aimed at my heart.

3... 2... 1...

"Chen, upload the code NOW!" I screamed.

I launched myself into the air. My white wings became a blur of light, slicing through the metal necks of the mechs as if they were made of butter. Every punch I landed released a shockwave of Divine Qi that short-circuited the fortress's electronics.

"I'm at the terminal!" Chen shouted, dodging a laser beam. He slammed the blood-stained chip into the master-frame.

[ Master-Code Uploading: 10%... 40%... 80%... ]

Suddenly, the hologram of Zhang vanished, replaced by a live feed of every city on Earth. People in the streets of Shanghai, New York, and Mumbai stopped. They looked up at the giant screens. They saw me—glowing, powerful, and defiant. And then, they saw the truth: the files of every secret execution, every stolen resource, and every lie the Council had ever told.

"The truth is out, Zhang!" I roared, flying toward the High-Overseer's private bunker. "Hide all you want, but the world is watching!"

The Sky Fortress began to tilt. The 'Void-Engine' was failing. We were falling from the sky at ten thousand feet per minute, but I didn't care. I could feel Zhang's fear through the walls. It smelled like victory.

"Yan! Get the evacuation pods ready for the staff who surrendered!" I commanded through the link. "I'm going for the head of the snake."

I slammed my fist into the final vault door. The 'Dhamaka' was so loud it could be heard back in Shanghai. The final vault door didn't just break; it liquefied under the heat of my White Nova fist. I stepped into the inner sanctum of the falling Sky Fortress. The alarms were screaming, and the floor was tilting at a 45-degree angle as we plummeted toward the ocean.

High-Overseer Zhang was waiting. He had injected himself with a glowing purple serum—'Void-Essence'. His muscles were bulging, his eyes bleeding dark energy. He wasn't a man anymore; he was a monster.

"You think your father's code makes you a Queen?" Zhang roared, launching himself at me with the speed of a bullet. "Imtiyaz died screaming in the dark, and so will you!"

BOOM!

Our fists collided. The shockwave shattered every screen in the room. I didn't back down. My 175cm frame was a pillar of unmovable white light.

10... 9... 8...

The vision showed Zhang pulling a 'Dead-Man's Switch'—a nuclear core hidden in his chest. He wanted to blow up the entire continent just to kill me.

3... 2... 1...

"Not on my watch!" I screamed.

I grabbed both of his wrists. My white wings flared out, wrapping around us like a cocoon of pure energy. I didn't just hit him; I began to drain the Void-Essence out of his body. The 'Golden Key' in my DNA acted like a vacuum, pulling the corruption out of him.

"This is for the years of fear!" I landed a knee to his chest.

"This is for the fathers who couldn't come home!" I smashed my elbow into his jaw.

"And THIS... is for IMTIYAZ!"

I channeled 300% of the 'Void Heart' into my right palm. I didn't strike his body; I struck his Soul. A beam of pure Nova-fire pierced through his chest, disintegrating the nuclear core before it could even spark.

Zhang's eyes cleared for a second, filled with a sudden, terrifying realization of his defeat. Then, he vanished. Not into dust, but into nothingness.

"Li Xian! Jump!" Xiao Yan's voice boomed as he smashed through the ceiling in his jet-suit.

The Sky Fortress was seconds away from hitting the water. I grabbed Commander Chen with one arm and Xiao Yan's hand with the other. My wings expanded to their maximum limit, glowing so bright they could be seen from space.

SPLASH!

The fortress hit the ocean, a massive explosion of steam and metal. But we were already in the clouds, hovering safely. I looked down at the wreckage. The Global Council was gone. The 'Ghosts' were silenced.

"It's over, Yan," I whispered, the white glow of my eyes finally softening.

I looked at the blood-stained jacket Chen was wearing—my father's jacket. The world was free, but the cost had been high. I reached into the sky, and for the first time, I felt like the daughter my father always knew I could be.
