Chapter 117 - Gahn! Mahn! Chui!

Today was a tea party. Simply put, after studying magic for a long time, Serie had finally decided to take a few days off to clear her head.

Zenith had absolutely no interest in this kind of activity, but he had no choice. In Serie's words, even a boss had to work a few days a month. Zenith was out having fun every day while she was left behind in Uncle's shop to study magic, which was truly unfair.

Working with an old goat who constantly had "And one more thing!" on his lips required a rather high level of patience.

It was hard to imagine that the ones most receptive to this kind of afternoon tea and chat activity were actually Uncle and Serie. Jackie and Jade were both a bit antsy.

While they were chatting, Uncle suddenly shivered, then spoke thoughtfully, "Uncle has a bad feeling. Master Fong's chi is warning me that a new darkness is coming."

"I don't think we need to worry so much. Mr. Zenith will solve everything." Jade put her game console on the table and looked up with a hopeful expression. "You're taking me this time too, right? Taking pictures on the moon is just too cool! All my classmates are jealous of me!"

Jade had indeed been having a great time at school lately. Not only did she have Zenith, a teacher who always pulled off some crazy stunts during class, but her social status at school was also skyrocketing.

In the original story, when Jade talked to her classmates about talismans and the Shadowkhan ninja warriors, naturally no one believed her. It was like having a desk-mate at school constantly telling you that he was a superhero busy saving the world every day.

No one would believe it was true; they would just tell him to tone it down.

But swapping that out for something a bit more realistic like going to the moon—complete with photographic evidence—instantly elevated Jade's image in the class.

"But Master Fong's chi is urging Uncle. Even when the demons appeared, the chi of good wasn't this urgent. Something big must be happening."

Uncle began quickly packing his bags. "There's no time to lose. We must set off right now. Delay will only bring trouble."

After all, Zenith wasn't omnipotent. Was this part in the original story? Zenith didn't have much of an impression of it. Right now, he was just like a gamer busy progressing through the main quest, bringing his pet (Serie) along and following the NPC guide.

Crossing high mountains and wading through rivers. The guidance of chi relied on the natural environment, which immediately ruled out the option of taking a plane.

After a difficult trek, they finally arrived deep within the dense jungle of an isolated overseas island, where the chi's guidance came to a halt.

In front of them were three stone monkey statues. The style of the statues was bizarre and eerie, each striking a different pose: covering its eyes, covering its ears, and covering its mouth.

The moment he saw the statues, it instantly awakened Zenith's dusty memories. He had a deep impression of this episode from his childhood: a blind Tohru, a deaf Jade, and a mute Jackie.

This was the statues' power. They were powerful magical artifacts capable of affecting an entire planet, rendering people unable to see, hear, or speak.

"It seems you are this generation's warriors of good. Let me see just what kind of skills you have to leave even the demons helpless!"

Wearing a black wizard's robe, his pale long hair hung neatly down his back, boasting a volume of hair that would make any young person envious.

"Aiya—it's Daolon Wong!" Uncle pointed forward. Daolon Wong was the old rival of Uncle's master, Master Fong. He was highly skilled and proficient in many ancient dark spells.

His Dark Chi Warriors at this moment weren't those three bumbling fools Finn, Ratso, and Chow, but genuinely ruthless fighters who could suppress Jackie in one-on-one close combat.

"Gahn! Mahn! Chui!"

Blue-purple smoke billowed, and three Dark Chi Warriors with orange skin and blue magical tattoos across their bodies appeared out of thin air.

A boomerang shuriken, a three-section staff, and a war hammer—the three enchanted weapons were wielded with fierce momentum. Pushing off the ground, they spun and leaped right in front of Zenith.

"One-on-one? I like it!"

Jackie took on the warrior with the three-section staff, Tohru faced the one with the war hammer, and the one holding the boomerang shuriken went head-to-head against Zenith.

"Then you've really hit the jackpot. I haven't had a proper fight with anyone in a long time. I hope you can last a bit longer."

His combat power was already way too overpowered now. After updating to the Aether armor set, Zenith hadn't upgraded his armor or weapons since. At this moment, he switched his inventory slot to the Aether Broadsword, and the glowing blue blade immediately clashed with the shuriken.

The basin-sized shuriken began spinning rapidly like a buzzsaw. Zenith held his sword against it, only to watch the Aether Broadsword's durability drop rapidly. Instead of taking it head-on, he launched a flying kick that sent the warrior into the air, followed immediately by an upward slash that cleaved him in half right down the middle.

In a sense, the Dark Chi Warriors were absolutely immortal summons. Upon taking fatal damage, they would burst into a puff of smoke and return to a sub-dimension to heal themselves.

The other two dealt purely blunt damage, which Jackie could handle just by snapping off a couple of tree branches. As for Tohru, his fight was even simpler; he was a bona fide magic tank now.

Zenith wanted to test the damage of Daolon Wong's spells. He closed the distance, not dodging or evading, and let the purple beam of light hit him directly.

The little red hearts on his health bar trembled slightly, but there was no change. He didn't know how much damage it was, but it definitely didn't break his defense.

The moment Zenith got close and delivered a downward slash, a layer of purple shielding appeared on Daolon Wong's body, deflecting the attack. Then, with a wave of his staff, a towering yellow-skinned giant appeared behind Zenith.

A massive club smashed down from above, but Zenith dodged it by flashing away with an Ender Pearl. He looked at this nearly twenty-meter-tall giant with twin-tails and muttered to himself, "Green twin-tails, holding a stick-like object, likes to dance... Yep, this is definitely Hatsune Miku."

Zenith wanted to see what this thing was made of. He had distributed so many Ultraman transformation devices to the SPW Foundation, so of course he had one for himself. It was just that compared to their basic versions, the one in Zenith's hands was a bit more advanced.

When two powerful forces in the universe met, the radiant light from cosmic legends would merge to reveal its true form—the will of the great universe, Ultraman Legend.

Zenith pulled out the transformation item "Light of Legend," and amidst a brilliant flash, he transformed into Ultraman Legend. He had hesitated between Noa and Legend for a moment, but ultimately chose Legend based on his personal aesthetic preference.

"I've been wanting to try this out for a long time. Let me show you a big surprise!"

Zenith didn't waste any words. He opened right up with a Spark Legend to let "Miku" feel the warmth of the light.

Daolon Wong took two steps back, quietly sensing the intensity of the energy radiating from Legend, and gulped.

Now he knew why a bunch of demons wanted to team up with him. If there was a god like this around, they should have said so earlier! If they had, he never would have gotten involved!

However, as a Dark Chi Master, Daolon Wong was the relatively trustworthy type. Even if a job was impossible, he still had to do it. With a wave of his hand, the stone monkey statues beneath his feet began to move.

The hands covering their eyes, ears, and mouths moved away one after another, and three towering pillars of purple light shot out in all directions.

Uncle stopped Zenith's plan to destroy the statues directly. "The statues are vessels! Without the statues, there's no way to use the reversal spell to return the world to normal!"
