a week later now john was again seating in a waiting room with the other participants "curse this ice magic"
john mood was really bad after he had noticed that one of the participants was a fire mage... he had heard the fire mage saying to his friends " i wish i had some other magic, fire magic is just so hard to practice" john got really angry after hearing that. but in reality, john was just really jealous of the fire mage.
john was mostly angry because he had messed up many times while doing the makeup in the morning... only after an hour of struggle did he get it right.
finally, the examination started and they started calling the participants one by one...
john turn came after 4 hours "i wonder if this is a patience test instead of a magic test... it was the worst! i hate waiting"
as john entered the room he saw three examiners seating in front of him, thankfully the examiner of the first exam was not their otherwise he could have noticed the difference on john face.
this exam room was much bigger than the first one. a rock almost 10 times bigger than john was standing in the middle of the room. their was no roof too. many small and some big scars could be seen on the rock, probably left by the mages before him.
john assumed that the rock was made of some special material otherwise a third tire mage could have probably destroy is easily. one of the examiners told john to fire his strongest spell towards the stone.
john took a deep breath and reminded himself as he slowly spoke... " 4th circle magic, ice spear" while in reality he had casted a 2nd circle ice spear in mind...
he had noticed that his magic attacks were much more powerful than a normal one, his 2nd circle spells attack power were the same as a normal 4th circle spell while his 4th circle spell had the same power as a 6th circle spell, john could absolutely not afford to show that he was this powerful by mistake.
even john had no idea why his attacks were this powerful.
the 2nd circle ice spear appeared in front of john as he felt a wave of disgust travelling through him as he looked at the ice spear... the ice spear immediately stuck the boulder and formed a large scar, noticeably larger than the other scars present of the boulder.
one of the examiner, a women named Natash around 29 ( a 5th circle mage) asked john while smiling " examinee what is your age"
john was prepared for this question and said in a confident voice "i turned 23 this year"
the examiner Natash got very excited after hearing john age, she though she had found a gem and maybe a unclaimed one at that, out of curiosity she asked john "have you decided to join a guild yet"
john wasn't prepared for this question so he just said truthfully, " um i don't really plan to guild for now"
Natash after hearing john assumed that john must want to be a magic teacher than, coincidently she was a teacher too so she immediately asked john " do you want to be a teacher at the national magic school? i am a teacher their and their was a spot open for the practical practice teacher of the second year. "
john was about to refuse but than he stopped remembering that jack and alex were in the national magic school. the best one in the country. than he asked the female examiner in a doubtful voice,
"can i actually teach the national magic school? i heard only genius could teach their"
Natash replied in a clam tone smiling lightly, "you are a genius yourself through and is it quite difficult to find mages who have not joined and guild so we can't afford to be too picky, i joined the school as a 4th circle myself"
john wanted to think more about it before agreeing or disagreeing but he was afriad that they may choose someone else for now. so he agreed.
john agreed mostly because he had nothing to do for the next two years, his parents wouldn't allow him to travel by himself before he turned 18 and he would also get to meet jack and alex again, they should be second years now.
john after taking Natash's number immediately went out as he had already taken too much time.
after reaching home john felt really proud of himself, "can't believe am goona teach at a school, i can't wait to see alex and jack face when they see me at school. they will have to call me "sir" its so funny even thinking about it"
"i should tell big brother about it" john always told everything to alex, even the fact that he could see ice mana particles.
alex was quite the big brother, he believed john immediately. alex knew that his little brother was not someone who would lie about such things, in the past year alex had supported john a lot.
3 days later john was seating in a cafe waiting for natash to arrive, alex was seating a few seats away from him just because he was worried about john and he wanted to make sure that natash was a good person.
Natash arrived 8 minutes later and sat next to john while greeting him. she had taken a liking to john and wanted him to be her fellow teacher. john was just really excited about getting a job of his own ( at 16!) and in the contact natash had adjusted the time period to two years as john had requested and john salary was almost the same as what his big brother earned so he signed the contact after asking Natash some question that alex had told him to ask.
" from when can i start coming?"
" from the next Monday, we can't delay it any more than that and you will be provided a floor like every other teacher. don't worry about it too much, for the first week of job a experienced teacher will help you "
"thank you, is their a uniform for teachers too?"
"yes, you can send us your measurement and after the uniform is done it will be sent to your floor."
"ok,"
"i will get going than, i may not look like it but i am quite busy, best of luck for your job"
"thank you" john got up after natash had left the cafe and went to alex while jumping on his feet.
" big brother i am a teacher now, i did good right?? i talked to formally like a adult"
alex replied while smiling at john foolishness "you were so bad at it john but you didn't sound like a child at least"
john replied now smiling " i can't wait for Monday big brother"
