Dee sat in her room in silence and darkness. Her TV was not even turned on.
Her mother knocked on her door, concerned. "Honey, you have to come out some day… We all thought she would-"
"Don't say it, mom…"
"I'm sorry, honey… But you need to at least eat something."
"I don't, mom!" Dee shouted.
Ursa, sensing the agony in Dee's voice, quietly flew near Dee, and laid on her legs. She started to pet them for comfort.
"Do you need anything?" her mother asked.
"No…" Dee said, she shook her head, despite knowing her mother wouldn't see it.
Her mother sighed. But she decided to let her daughter be alone.
"Maybe… I should give you the necklace back… I don't deserve it…" Dee whispered to Ursa. "Find a different Guardian of Balance…"
"But that girl wouldn't be you…" Ursa stated, hugging Dee's arm.
"I know… I just…" Dee sighed, her eyes teared up again. "I don't deserve this!"
Another knock was on her door, this time, it was one of her friends.
"Delilah? It's me, Stella,"
"Go away…" Dee choked out.
"You know that I won't do that," Stella said.
"Then come in… I don't care…"
Stella slowly opened the door, and stepped inside.
"Just don't turn on the lights…" Dee mumbled.
Stella nodded, and sat down next to Dee. "I… I'm so sorry."
"It was not your fault…" Dee shook her head. "But I swear, if I manage to get to Falcon and that… woman… I will get revenge…"
"Honey… you can't. Revenge is never the right way to go." Stella explained, she put a hand onto Dee's shoulder.
"But sometimes, revenge is good for you…"
Stella sighed. "Honey…"
"If you don't want to support my plans, just… go…" Dee looked away from her friend, and pointed at her door. "Please… we can talk about this later…"
Stella stared at Dee sadly. With another sigh, she stood up and left the room.
As soon as Stella left, a small gust of wind flew inside of the room.
Dee started to look annoyed. "Harley, I swear, if you're here, I'll-"
"Dee~"
A whisper caused her to look up. "Mom, I told you to leave me alone!"
"I didn't say anything, honey." her mother said. "Are you okay?.." she asked on the other side of the door.
"I'm fine! Whatever…" Dee looked down again with sadness. "Did you hear anything?" she looked down to Ursa.
"No? Why?"
Dee grabbed the creature. "Ursa, you must have heard it. The voice was right here. It was calling my name."
Ursa tilted her head, her gaze soft and pitying.
To them, the room was just dark, and had no sounds in it.
Dee let go of Ursa, her hands trembling. She felt a sudden coldness beneath her skin.
"Who are you?" Dee demanded. She wasn't afraid. "Show yourself! Now!"
"I'm not hiding, Dee," the voice replied. It was a voice that didn't sound like it came from the Void, but it sounded kind.
Dee spun around, but there was nothing there. Only the shadow of her desk chair.
"Where were you?!" Dee asked angrily.
"I am everywhere, and nowhere." the voice stated.
"That is not an answer!" Dee shouted, as the voice disappeared.
Dee looked around her room in shock. After everything that had happened, she felt like she had gone crazy.
To avoid any more things like this from happening, she got into her bed to sleep.
But instead of her usual dreams, Dee saw herself in a room that looked like an office. It had a huge window, but it showed nothing outside. The room was mostly colored light brown, and had a shelf filled with books.
Dee looked around the place. She looked at the window, the books, and an empty desk in the middle of the room. But anywhere she looked, nothing was familiar to her.
She had expected someone to sit there if she got transported into an office-like room.
"What?.. Where am I?"
"Welcome, Dee," a familiar voice said.
Dee's eyes widened, she turned around, and saw a figure of a woman, who was flying in the room in front of her. She was tall, she had long black hair that reached down to her knees, and she wore a mask that had a grey moon on the right side, and a bright, yellow sun on the left side. To Dee, she was beautiful.
But what Dee found weird is that the woman was… smiling. Usually, spirit.
"I have been waiting for so long…" the spirit stated.
"Tell me where I am!" Dee asked again.
"You are in the office dimension of the order of Goddesses…" the woman said.
"What?... Who are you? What do you mean?"
"That, I cannot tell you anything yet," the woman shook her head. "But I will tell you this… I'm waiting for you…"
"For me?... Why?.." Dee questioned. "Do you know what that weird form I had that day was?!"
"You will find out soon enough."
"Tell me who you are! Right now!" Dee demanded again.
"You will soon discover your true powers, and the greatest secret that comes with it. All you have to do is find me." the woman explained.
"What 'secret?'" Dee asked. "I don't wanna be a part of anything anymore!"
"For now, please, wake up."
The woman moved her hand. Dee jolted awake, and she saw that Ursa was flying around her, and they looked concerned.
"Dee. Dee. Get up!" they shouted, pulling on her ear. "Get. Up!"
Before Dee could say anything, Ursa slapped her forehead.
"Ow! Hey! I'm awake already!"
Ursa flew over and hugged Dee's head. "I was so worried!"
Dee froze in her place again. She didn't want people around her, especially not today, but Ursa's hug broke something in her.
Tears fell from her eyes, and she hugged Ursa back.
"Promise me that you will never just… pass out!" Ursa cried.
"I can't just promise you that…"
"Then promise to not do whatever this was again!" they demanded.
"Fine. I can promise that." Dee nodded.
"Then say it."
"I promise."
Ursa was still worried and angry, but they just did not say anything else.
"I'm guessing you will not replace me?.."
Ursa shook their head in response, which made Dee sigh. But she wasn't really sad about any of it.
Maybe Ursa is her Guardian Angel? Could they be it?
