The Zorath Clan's soul well chamber echoed with wet, frustrated sounds. Seraya Zorath lay sprawled on a silk mat beside the turquoise pool, her jade-green legs spread, one hand working furiously between her thighs. Her emerald hair was plastered to her forehead with sweat. Her golden eyes were squeezed shut.
She had been at this for hours.
And still, she couldn't finish.
"Fuck," she hissed, fingers moving faster. "Come on..."
The pressure built. Her back arched. Then faded. Again.
She slammed her fist against the mat. "WHY?!"
Above her, hidden in the shadows of the root lattice, Kael watched.
Kael smiled in the darkness.
He waited until her sobs quieted, then stepped out.
"A different approach might yield better results," he said, voice casual. "Your current method seems... unsatisfying."
