He ran toward Yuri and crouched beside her, lifting her blouse. He examined the four deep wounds made by the Lizard's claws.
Blood flowed like a river.
Using his webs, he covered the wounds like a bandage, then lifted her up.
"Analysis in progress," Cortana said. "Critical condition, has lost a lot of blood, we need to hurry."
"Spider-Man, I-...."
"Thank you," he said with immense gratitude, grabbing Yuri firmly and starting to walk away.
"Spider-Man...." He turned his head to see Susan with a face full of pain and regret. Turning his head forward, he ignored her, hooked a web to a building, and moved away.
"Peter, are we going to leave Richards alone?" Cortana asked, only to get excited when he made a face.
"No," he said in an angry tone. "Death is a gift for him. He needs to suffer. I made sure of that."
"What are you planning?"
"Strip him of his reputation, make him an outcast! Make him regret ever crossing me! Make him wish he were dead!"
He gritted his teeth in frustration. "I already stripped him of his powers with my venom, now that venom will drive him mad. He will have no choice, nowhere to go, no one to turn to. I will make sure of it."
"Perfect," she answered with a happy hum at the end. "Are we going to Baxter?"
"No.... We are going home."
"But Pet-...."
"Turn on the lab, I want you at the computer, get everything ready in the lab.
We cannot trust Baxter right now. I want the Connors formula ready, along with the Super Soldier Serum. I am going to perform minor surgery on Yuri.
I need to disinfect the wound and stabilize her condition. Once she is stable, we will use the Connors formula."
"I see. What is the serum for? Is it th-...."
"I.... need more time to think about it," he said as he arrived at the front of the house and knocked on the door. "Right now we need to focus on Yuri."
"A minute-...."
"Oh my God! Peter? What happened?" May said, only for him to walk past her and run down to the basement.
"Quick! Come downstairs! I cannot explain right now." The basement door opened automatically as he descended the stairs.
Everything lit up automatically, revealing a barely finished science lab with high-end equipment.
He had bought this under the alias Jason, and he had done everything with extreme care to prevent anyone from sticking their noses where they did not belong.
He left Yuri on an operating table, lifted her up and took off her blouse. Washing his hands, he put on a doctor's suit along with some gloves and the missing equipment, grabbed some medical scissors, gauze and tapes.
"Cortana, perform a real-time analysis of her condition."
"Just a second.... okay, continue."
"You are okay, Yuri. You are going to be okay. I am going to heal you," he said with determination as he began the procedures.
He felt like he had not learned anything from John's death. He had failed John, and this slap in the face was a much-needed wake-up call. He had screwed up big time, and karma had come back to bite him. If he truly wanted to protect his women, he needed to reflect on his actions very carefully.

"Mmm," Yuri stirred as her eyes opened. When they were fully open, she stared at the unfamiliar metal ceiling for a moment before everything hit her head like a bullet. "W.... Where am I? What am I-...."
Looking down, she found her hands cuffed to the stretcher. Her heart beat faster as thousands of thoughts raced through her head.
She fought against her handcuffs only to feel them tighten more.
"Whoa, whoa!" A beautiful woman with black hair and glasses appeared in her field of vision, gently pushing her back. Her eyes scanned her uncertainly.
"Who are you?!"
"Well.... um.... Good evening, Mrs. Watanabe," she said as she glanced at her watch while adjusting her glasses. "Cortana, run scans on Mrs. Watanabe, and send the report to her folder. I am sure Peter will appreciate it."
"Full scan," Cortana said. "Her vital signs are normal, her heart rate is a little high, but that is just the shock of not knowing where she is. There is nothing to worry about. She is ready to go."
"Thank God! I can finally rest a little after these hectic two days," she sighed to herself as she untied Yuri's restraints.
"W-What is happening? Where am I? How did I-...."
"Calm down, okay? I will explain slowly. Let me introduce myself formally," she said with a shy smile.
"I am Missy Kallenback, daughter of Marcus Kallenback, the doctor who treated your friend John. I apologize for not being able to save him. I am also Peter Parker's girlfriend."
She said this while slightly puffing out her chest with pride. "The man who brought you here and healed you, as well as giving you some improvements."
She said this when Yuri's eyes widened as she easily recognized the name.
Missy moved her head to the right and Yuri's eyes opened wide when she saw the fainting figure of a Peter Parker, but what really surprised her were two things.
One, that he was wearing the lower part of the Spider-Man suit, and two, the perfect and well-worked body he had, which would make any woman want to jump up and have a moment alone with him. She was no exception.
"Yeah, that is almost all mine. Oh! I also forgot the most important information...."
Her eyes fell on the spider symbol on the top of the suit hanging from a mannequin.
"He is also the Amazing Spider-Man, but that title has one of the suits he created, along with the Superior suit and the Ultimate suit. He mentioned that his title is The Superior Spider-Man. Not bad in my opinion."
