------------------------------------------------
Because he had yet to build the jericho missile demanded by the Ten Rings Gang, Tony was currently being beaten severely by several large Afghan men.
His assistant, Dr. Ethan, fared even worse... the bald leader was holding a piece of glowing red charcoal with tongs, about to shove it into his mouth.
Seeing this, Tony had no choice but to shout that he still needed Ethan, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to build the jericho missile to threaten them.
This tactic indeed worked; the bald leader's movements actually came to a halt because of it.
However, the bald leader also gave Tony a final deadline.
If he didn't see the jericho missile he so desired by tomorrow, then not only would Ethan die, but Tony himself would not be spared!
As it turned out, Ryan, the little butterfly who had intruded into this Universe, had ultimately affected Tony.
In the original movie, Tony had a full three months to build the First-Generation Escape Iron Man Armor.
But now, barely two months after Tony's kidnapping, he was facing the death threats from the Terrorists that originally occurred after three months.
This caused Tony to feel utterly despondent after the Terrorists left... because let alone assembling a complete suit of iron armor by tomorrow, he hadn't even finished forging the components, much less the internal wiring system... even his mentor Ethan, who had been comforting and encouraging him for the past two months to keep him going, fell into a helpless silence.
Although he wasn't a professional when it came to the iron armor, Ethan knew very well that they were far from the complete suit on Tony's blueprints...
Ethan sat on the ground powerlessly and looked at Tony:
"Tony, what do we do?"
Tony sighed and spread his hands:
"What else can we do? Forget the armor, even if I were to assemble the jericho missile they want right now, it would be too late..."
"So as I see it, we should just grab a wrench and wait by the door tomorrow. When that bastard walks in, we'll give his bald head a good whack. That way, at least we can take one of them with us~"
Seeing Tony still in the mood to joke at a time like this, Ethan gave a helpless smile:
"Please, Tony, you know that's impossible. There are surveillance cameras here. Is he really stupid enough not to see us lying in wait at the door?"
Tony's mindset had already become somewhat resigned:
"Then what else do you suggest? If we don't fight for our lives with a wrench, are we just supposed to sit here and wait for death?"
Ethan wanted to give Tony a negative answer, but with his intelligence, he really couldn't think of any way to escape now.
Therefore, after a long silence, he only managed to squeeze out one sentence:
"You are Tony Stark, the smartest person in America today, if not all of humanity. Can't you use that explosive brain of yours to think of a more dignified way to win than fighting them with a wrench?"
And it was this casual remark from Ethan that actually sparked something in Tony's mind, making his eyes light up:
"Wait! Ethan, did you just say explosive? You're a genius!"
"I've actually thought of a way for us to die with more dignity!"
"Remember those explosives we've been secretly collecting, and the jet flame fuel we prepared for when the MK1 armor was finished?"
"I can modify them into a Hybrid Incendiary Bomb and blow those terrorist sons of bitches to hell right here in the cave tomorrow!"
Ethan:???
Huh?
Did what I just say mean I wanted you to perish together with the Terrorists?
But at this moment, Ethan had no other options.
Compared to being tortured to death by Terrorists, being burned to death was indeed a more dignified way to go... especially if they could take a bunch of Terrorists with them!
As science-minded men, both were men of action; once decided, they got to work.
Having decided to modify an incendiary bomb, they immediately threw themselves into the task with great enthusiasm... In the surveillance room, the bald leader smiled with satisfaction as he watched the two working so hard.
As expected, if you don't whip a mule, it won't work properly and will only know how to slack off!
Meanwhile, Ryan, who was sleeping on the back of a hill not far from the cave, had no idea that his intrusion had caused so many changes... even the iron armor intended for escape was being modified by Tony into a self-destructing iron incendiary bomb...
As evening approached, the sky gradually darkened.
Ryan finally woke up from the sleep he had been catching up on over the past few days.
After waking up, he first checked the sky, estimating that it would be completely dark in less than an hour. He slowly pulled a bag of compressed biscuits and a bag of water from his tactical vest and began to eat slowly.
Once the God of Death was full, it would be time for the scythe to harvest heads...
By the time Ryan finished his biscuits, the night had turned pitch black.
Taking his mask out of his tactical vest, Ryan pulled it over his head.
When he turned on the night vision function, the dark night turned into a clear field of green in Ryan's eyes.
The Ten Rings Gang Terrorists outside the cave below became distinct red figures within the green landscape thanks to the thermal imaging function of the mask's eyes.
Ryan, wearing a pure black combat suit with his Scarlet Suit hidden underneath—even his mask was black—blended perfectly into the night!
Scarlet Suit (Tactical Limited Edition) Spider-Man, makes his debut!
The time and place were right; the hunt begins!
Whoosh!
Ryan's first targets were the Sentinels located on the watchtower.
The sound of Spider Silk was much quieter than a firearm suppressor; the Sentinels on the watchtower didn't even notice the silk sticking to the structure.
Although Ryan weighed a full three hundred pounds as he swung on the silk, he landed on the watchtower without making a sound.
It wasn't until Ryan snapped the neck of the lookout Sentinel from behind that the Sentinels on the tower even realized someone had come up behind them.
From his high vantage point, it was much easier for Ryan to deal with the other Terrorists patrolling outside the cave.
It was a simple target practice game, silently hanging the Terrorists one by one in the darkness with Spider Silk like 'teru teru bozu' dolls.
Since ancient times, FPS players never look up, and this saying applied just as well to the Afghan Terrorists who relied on 'spray and pray' shooting.
By the time Ryan had hung all the Terrorists outside the cave on the watchtower like dolls, not a single person had noticed anything wrong.
With the Terrorists guarding the outside dealt with, those inside the cave posed even less of a threat to Ryan.
Because the Ten Rings Gang's large-caliber weapons and high-powered munitions were all placed outside the cave, and the people outside were currently hanging.
Ryan estimated that the most powerful weapons the remaining Terrorists in the cave had were likely just the AKs in their hands.
And that was indeed the case.
As Ryan leapt down from the watchtower covered in dolls and crawled into the cave from the ceiling like a spider, he saw no one along the way holding a weapon capable of threatening him.
Ryan didn't hold back. As he went deeper into the cave, he continuously dealt with the Terrorists who were chatting, eating, or masturbating—either snapping their necks directly or pinning them to the walls with Spider Silk before crushing their heads with a punch.
Soon, the entire Ten Rings Gang of over a hundred people had been silently eliminated by Ryan.
In the darkness, ordinary people were simply too fragile for Ryan; it was no more difficult than stepping on a mouse.
This even included the bald leader in the only decent office with a computer in the cave, who, while in the middle of a 'manual takeoff' to celebrate seeing the jericho missile tomorrow, had his flight interrupted by the intruding Ryan and became a desperate captain...
After confirming there was not a single living soul left in the cave besides himself and Tony and Ethan locked in the deepest part, Ryan slowly walked toward the iron door that held his fifty million.
