The next morning arrived bright and clear.
At Sobu High, the bell for morning reading hadn't rung yet, but the hallways were already alive with energetic students chatting and moving about.
Lucian walked calmly toward the teachers' office area, a simple briefcase in hand.
Unlike the slightly stiff formal outfit he wore on his first day, today he'd switched to something much more relaxed. A soft white shirt with the top two buttons casually undone, paired with fitted black pants.
After the dual physical enhancements from last night's "Ox Talisman" and "Sunflower Alice," his already well-proportioned body had become even more striking.
Broad shoulders, a faint V-shaped silhouette, and a restrained yet powerful presence radiated from him with every step.
As he walked, female students kept sneaking glances his way. Some even covered their mouths, blushing as they whispered to each other.
Click—
Lucian pushed open the door to the large office.
There weren't many teachers inside yet.
He spotted his desk at a glance, but what surprised him was that Hiratsuka Shizuka, who was usually full of fiery energy, was currently sitting in his chair, holding an official document stamped in red.
Hearing the door, she instinctively looked up.
And the moment her eyes landed on Lucian, this famously tough, iron-fisted teacher froze.
Sunlight slanted in through the window, falling across his sharp, handsome face. A breeze stirred the loose strands of hair on his forehead.
That natural, overwhelming masculine charm—oppressive yet impossible to look away from—hit her head-on.
Her heart skipped a beat.
For once, a faint blush flashed across her usually bold and composed face.
What the hell…? Did this kid level up overnight or something? This aura's even more ridiculous than yesterday. What a walking disaster… she muttered to herself, quickly clearing her throat to cover up her momentary lapse.
"Morning, Miss Hiratsuka."
Lucian walked over, glancing at her sitting in his seat with a hint of amusement.
"Why are you in my spot? Don't tell me there's something wrong with my lesson plan."
"The lesson plan's fine. The problem is your face—and your brain."
Hiratsuka stood up, tapping the document against the desk, a smirk tugging at her lips.
"Hurry up and pack your stuff. Starting today, we're switching offices."
"Switching offices?" Lucian raised an eyebrow, glancing around the spacious room. "This place is pretty good already. Where are we going?"
"Next door. That empty private office they just cleaned overnight."
She crossed her arms, her tone carrying a mix of teasing and mild envy.
"This came straight from the school board this morning. You've only been here one day, and you've already caused a storm on the school forum. Even people from other schools are asking if Sobu High just hired some nineteen-year-old god-tier teacher."
She paused briefly.
"The board members aren't fools. A nineteen-year-old Tokyo University graduate… and, well, that face of yours. They're planning to build you up as the school's star figure."
"In this era, looks and credentials sell. With you around, next year's enrollment numbers will probably double."
"To give you the best environment for lesson prep, they approved that private office. As for me…" she shrugged, "they figured a newbie like you might not handle everything alone, so they assigned me to share the office with you. I'll be your direct senior, guiding your work."
Hearing this, Lucian understood immediately.
The school board really knew how to play the game.
Use him as a walking advertisement? Fine by him. As long as the vibe was good and he could enjoy a comfortable, low-effort life here, he didn't mind "selling his looks" a little.
"I see. Then I'll be counting on you for guidance from now on, Teacher."
He smiled as he casually packed a few books into his bag.
"Sure."
Hiratsuka gave his shoulder a hearty pat and picked up a stack of documents for him.
"Let's go check out our new base."
The two of them left the main office and headed to the private room at the end of the hallway.
The moment the door opened, even Lucian couldn't help but feel impressed.
This wasn't just a high school teacher's office.
It looked more like a luxury suite for a corporate executive.
The room was spacious and bright. A massive floor-to-ceiling window faced south, flooding the space with natural light. The floor was covered in soft cashmere carpet, and a sleek black leather sofa sat in the reception area.
Near the window were two large solid-wood desks.
What pleased Lucian the most was what sat on top of them—
A top-tier gaming PC setup, paired with two massive curved monitors.
This was supposed to be for lesson prep?
This thing could easily run the latest AAA games without breaking a sweat.
"Ah, capitalism at its finest."
Lucian set down his bag and sank comfortably into the ergonomic chair, enjoying its perfect support.
"With benefits like this, I'm completely bought."
Hiratsuka rolled her eyes from the desk beside him.
"Stop enjoying yourself. Morning reading's about to start. As the homeroom teacher for Class 1-B, shouldn't you go check in and inform your students about today's schedule?"
"I was just about to."
Lucian smiled, standing up and straightening his collar.
But just as he reached for the door to head to Class 1-B…
The silent-for-the-entire-night Myriad Worlds Chat Group in his mind suddenly erupted with a flurry of notifications.
