[Warri Household, 2:47 AM]
Tatski walks out of her room into the kitchen. She opens the fridge and grabs a small bottle of water before walking into the living room and spotting her mom Shu watching the late night news
Tatski: "Mom? It's almost 3am…why are you still awake?"
Shu turns around on the couch and gives Tatski a small smile.
Shu: "There's an important broadcast happening right now…there's been a murderer going around a few cities"
Tatskis eyes widen and she sits next to Shu watching the news
[Sakura Station New Network]
Broadcaster: "Numerous murders have sprung up the in the following cities. Tokyo, Shibuya, Nagoya and many more. The authorities have yet to discover any possible suspects or leads. The only connection between the murders is missing limbs. The murderer seems to take the left hand of victims. The authorities have named them the left handed killer. If you have any possible leads please call the number below"
Tatski sighs and rubs her eyes
Tatski: "As soon as I start high school, some crazed maniac wants to start killing people…"
Shu sighs
Shu: "It's really sad…people losing their lives because some people can't control themselves…well we don't have to worry about it right now. You go back to bed, Tatski. You have school tomorrow"
Tatski sighs and stands up
Tatski: "Alright mom…you need sleep too."
Shu turns the tv off and stands up
Shu: "You're indeed right, Tatski"
[Gymnasium 11:38 Am]
Beatrice helps Hana stretch while Tatski stands over them with a grin
Tatski: "Gym class is going to be a piece of cake! I've always done sport back in my home town so this is nothing!"
Hana looks up at Tatski and smiles nervously
Hana: "I-I'm not really good at any sports myself…"
Beatrice: "The only sport I've ever participated in was competitive horse racing back in London."
Tatski: "That's one way to call us poor…"
A balled man holding a basketball walks into the Gym and blows his whistle. Everyone looks at him
Sechii: "My name is Sechii! You all can call me coach S. I'm the coach of the baseball team and the track and field coach. I'm also your gym teacher. Now I know everyone is nervous but don't be. Alright form two teams of 20!"
Beatrice, Hana and Tatski join a team with 16 different people. Hiedo walks up behind them and grins
Hiedo: "Looks like we're on the same team dorks. Do me a solid favor and stay out of my way. I'm one of the best basketball players in this school!"
Tatski: "You're just full of yourself aren't you idiot?"
Hiedo: "Who are you calling idiot you white haired dumbass?!"
Tatskis eyes widen and she steps up getting into Hiedos space
Tatski: "YOU SAID WHAT?!"
Hana and Beatrice pull her back
Beatrice: "Calm yourself! You're worse than my fathers stallion on competition day!"
Hana: "Please calm down! Just ignore him!"
Tatski scowls but steps back. Hiedo grins mockingly
Hiedo: "Yeah listen to your girlfriends you white haired-" he's cut off by Tatski slapping him in the face. He holds his cheek in surprise…he then raises his fist back and swings it at her
A hand catches his fist and he looks back enraged. A black haired boy holds his fist in place before twisting it behind his back and pinning him down
Hiro: "We're you seriously gonna hit a girl bro? That's a new low."
Hiedo: "Let go of me! You damn idiot!!!"
Tatski stares at the boy and her face glows with a red tint slightly
Tatski: "Who are you?"
Hiro looks up and bows his head
Hiro: "Hiro Nagarumi. You're Tatski Warri…the talk of the school."
Tatski: "Y-yeah t-hats m-me…"
Hiro let's go if Hiedo and starts walking away. Hiedo groans and walks away embarrassed
Beatrice looks at Tatski with a sly expression and pokes her cheek
Beatrice: "You're so red…hehe"
Tatski wipes her face with her hands and clears her throat
Tatski: "I was just grateful he stopped that attack! That's all!"
Hana: "That was nice of him to do…"
Tatski: "Alright I think class is starting now!"
[School rooftop Lunch, 12:14 pm]
Tatski: "Did you guys hear about that murderer that's been going around?"
Beatrice looks up from her lunch and tilts her head thinking
Beatrice: "I think my father mentioned something along those lines this morning"
Hana: "That's so scary! Just thinking about it makes my skin shrivel and crumble from fear…"
Tatski: "They're calling them the left handed killer! How stupid is that ahaha!"
???: "Not stupid at all…"
The group looks around trying to spot the source of the voice. A girl with long black hair steps from around a corner and a creepy aura leaks from her
Tatski: "What?"
The girls repeats herself
???: "I don't find it stupid…it's kinda cool."
Beatrice: "If you don't mind me asking….who are you?"
The girl pulls out a black notebook with a skull on it
Sora: "My name is Sora Fushi. The president of the journalism club…"
Tatski: "why are you being so…creepy."
Sora: "I'm not creepy. You're Tatski Warri…the sister of Connie Warri and one of the most intriguing figures in this school. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions…"
Tatski looks at Hana and Beatrice before sighing
Tatski: "Umm…sure why not…"
Sora takes her notebook and sits on the ground across from them
Sora: "So is it true that your hair is naturally white…no dyes, highlighters, anything?"
Tatski: "Yes, I was born like this."
Sora: "Are you aware that you resemble a witch from the 18th century who had white hair just like yours?"
Tatski: "No I didn't…can you tell me about the witch?"
Sora writes in her notebook before looking up
Sora: "The witch was called The witch of the Japan. She had Snow White hair and dark green eyes. Before she died she gave birth to a baby who was the result of her and a powerful samurai having a secret relationship. The government didn't like this one bit so they hunted her down, burned down her village and were planning on taking the baby away. She managed to get the baby away alive but in result she was burned at stake."
Everyone's eyes widen and they all stare at Sora
Beatrice: "That's a very…rambunctious story…"
Tatski: "Are you sure you're not making this up? That witched was literally described with my features…"
Sora: "Yeah its a real story. Our school doesn't teach us about stuff like that so I do my own research."
Hana: "That story was very dark…I don't like it."
Tatski finishes her lunch
Tatski: "Well…Sora…I uhh…appreciate the…story..:but what does this have to do with the story you're writing…"
Sora stops writing and stares at Tatski
Sora: "It doesn't really have to do with much…I'm just lonely and needed some friends…I'm the only person in the journalism club."
Hana: "If you wanted to be our friend you could have just asked us…"
Sora stands up and bows
Sora: "I apologize…I'm not…good with other human interactions…"
Tatski: "Stop talking like you're an alien or something…"
The roof door opens and Connie walks up holding his lunch. He spots Tatski and walks over
Connie: "I see you found yourself some friends baby sister."
Tatski looks up and grins
Tatski: "What are you doing up here? I thought you ate lunch with the rest of the 3rd years?"
Connie: "I was just getting some fresh air. I'll leave you all to your lunch."
He walks away back into the building
Sora grabs Tatski by the shoulders and stares at her intensely
Sora: "That's your brother?!"
Tatski: "Yea?! What about him?!"
Sora: "I need him."
Everyone's eyes widen and they all look at each other awkwardly
Tatski: "My older brother is 17…and you're 15…"
Sora: "Age is just a spectrum…."
Beatrice: "Sounding like a true creep…"
Sora: "SHUT UP!"
Hana: "W-well maybe Tatski can just put in a good word for you! You never know…"
Tatski: "Look, I'll see what I can do but I'm not promising anything. That guy is one of the most stoic uninteresting characters you'll ever meet…"
Sora: "I'll take my chances. In return I'll introduce you to that Hiro boy you have a crush on."
Tatski blushes and looks away
Tatski: "How do you even know that?! And I don't like him!!!!"
Sora: "I'm always watching…."
Beatrice: "Creep"
[Warri household afterschool]
Shu, Connie and Tatski are eating dinner
Shu: "So how was everyones day. Work at the clinic has never been busier haha"
Tatski stuffs hear mouth while Connie calmly eats his food
Connie: "I passed all of my physical exams today. My teacher suggested I go to the navy or military after graduation"
Shu: "That's a rather big jump don't you think? You're only a juinor still so how about you keep your options open for now. Now what about you Tatski"
She looks up from her food and swallows hard
Tatski: "Well I played basketball in gym class today…also me and a boy almost got into a fight…"
Shu puts her fork down and sighs
Shu: "You have to learn to control your anger. You were almost expelled from your middle school for fighting."
Tatski: "He had it coming! He was talking crap about me and my friends, I'm just not gonna let me or my friends be disrespected!"
Shu: "You have to learn to do things without getting so violent! This is the same thing your father used to talk about!"
Tatski: "Father understood my frustrations, MOM! You may have given birth to me but you don't know an ounce about me!"
Shu gets visibly upset and clinches her fist
Shu: "I am your mother! Watch the way you speak to me young lady! I know everything about you! I'm your mother, it's my duty to-"
Tatski stands up and slams her hands against the table
Tatski: "Are you really?! I had this burning question in my mind for the longest of time! How come you all have brown hair but I have white?! How come you all have brown eyes and I have green?! How come my skin is a lighter shade then yours?! I don't even look Japanese! So tell me MOM! Why am I like this?!"
Shu snaps and she stands up
Shu: "You go to your room! Your attitude is out of control!"
Tatski: "UGH!" Tatski storms out the dining room toward the front door and walks out with a large slam
Shu: "TATSKI GET BACK IN HER-"
Connie: "There's no point. You know how she is when she gets like that…"
Shu stares at Connie as he calmly eats his dinner. She sits back down and puts her head in her hands
Connie: "Why don't you just tell her the truth. Hiding it won't make it better. Tell her she's adopted…"
Shu: "I really want too…but it will crush her heart. We already lost your father not that long ago…telling her that in the height of everything isn't a good idea."
Connie stands up and picks up his plate
Connie: "You and her used to be so close. Practically inseparable…but when father got diagnosed…she changed. You should adapt to that change mother."
Connie walks away leaving Shu sitting alone
Shu: "Adapt…"
[somewhere downtown]
Tatski walks angrily through the empty streets venting to herself. She turns into an alley and walks through it
Tatski: "Stupid mom and her stupid problems…"
A pair of footsteps creak behind her and a voice rings out
???: "Walking out alone are we?…"
Tatski turns around and stares at the strange man. He's wearing a black coat and a hat
Tatski: "What the hell do you want?"
???: "You seem troubled…tell me about your problems young lady."
Tatski steps back feeling a bad aura come from the man
Tatski: "Don't be afraid…I won't hurt you…yet."
Tatski takes that as a warning sign and she full sprints down the alley. The man follows behind her with a large grin…
