Was there something wrong with how he'd used it?
Anthony stared at the toilet sitting in front of him and fell into a long, pensive silence. After a moment, he lifted his head and turned his gaze to the chat group panel.
"Is there... something wrong with it?"
He asked, thoroughly baffled.
[The Angler's Throne originates from the user's soul essence. Upon inspection: no anomalies detected.]
What.
You're telling me that what my soul essence manifested — out of all possible things — is a TOILET?
[Inspection confirmed. No anomalies.]
You absolute piece of artificial garbage!!
No anomalies WHERE, exactly?! This isn't Terraria! Nobody ever told me that sitting on a toilet while fishing would boost my fishing power!!
It can't seriously be because of some cursed karmic connection between me and toilets in my past life… wait. Hold on. Actually — maybe there kind of was.
All at once, a flash of inspiration struck. Anthony's mind leapt back to it — the truck that had obliterated him by launching itself straight up to the twelfth floor in his previous life, and the toilet that had been directly beneath him at the moment of impact.
And then his gaze drifted to his own group title.
[Lord of the White Holy Throne]
You've been waiting for me this whole time, haven't you.
In that single instant, Anthony's mouth fell open slightly. The look he directed at the toilet in front of him became complicated in ways he couldn't begin to articulate.
So that's what "Lord of the White Holy Throne" actually means…?
Well. Whatever. It was fine, wasn't it?
He made his peace with it quickly, offering himself a quiet word of comfort.
Because, if he was being totally honest — this toilet of his really did seem to boost his fishing power.
With that thought firmly in mind, Anthony sat himself down on the toilet.
Instantly, he felt an enormous suction force radiating up from beneath him, as though it were drawing on his soul energy and operating entirely of its own accord. A heartbeat later, the fishing rod in his hand took on a quality that was subtle yet undeniably, mysteriously real.
Good thing the thing under my backside isn't made of gold.
That inexplicable thought flickered through his mind — and then he cast the line. The float landed on the kaleidoscopic surface of the Primordial River, and the fishing began once more.
Anthony opened the group chat with a motion that had become perfectly natural, chatting idly in the background while he waited in silence for something to take the bait.
This time, he hadn't even managed half an hour of idle chat before the float twitched. He blinked — and then yanked the rod back hard.
[Low-grade Living Equipment · Sickle]
[Description: A form of cyberware possessing autonomous defensive and offensive capabilities. An exceptional choice for any operative who values reliable equipment.]
[Recycle Value: 78 Points]
A shame — just another piece of cyberware. Nothing he could use himself, and definitely not the Originium Technology products he'd been hoping for.
Anthony hit the Recycle button without hesitation, converted the Points straight into lifespan, and then sank into thought.
— He decided, effective immediately, to take back every single disparaging thing he had ever said about this toilet.
It was a divine artifact. An honest-to-god, certified, undeniable divine artifact.
Before the Throne unlocked, his personal best fishing time had been forty minutes, with an average of well over an hour per bite. And now, the moment [The Angler's Throne] had come online, even a casual cast was pulling in bites in under half an hour.
So what if it's shaped like a toilet? I happen to enjoy sitting on toilets. Fight me.
Unfortunately, his [The Angler] ability didn't have much room for immediate upgrades beyond this.
Scanning The Angler's ability tree, two nodes were currently glowing as available for unlock. The first was an upgrade to [The Angler's Throne] itself — but that cost 5,000 Points, which was well beyond his current 2,500. He could stare at it all he liked; it wasn't happening anytime soon.
The second ability, however, was something else entirely.
[The Angler's Tolerance]
[Effect: Strengthens your fishing rod, raising the cap on physical rod fusion. Your fishing rod may now fuse with one additional physical fishing rod, incorporating it into your soul.]
[Enhancement Cost: 1,000 Points]
Not bad. Having used the Glass Fishing Rod, Anthony had already tasted what rod fusion could do.
The problem was — where was he supposed to find another fishing rod right now?
Every Point he had was already spoken for in his head; he couldn't afford to spend recklessly. So for now, Anthony had no choice but to shelve further upgrades to [The Angler].
That said — even at its current level, [The Angler] had already reached a genuinely terrifying fishing speed.
Snapping back to the present, Anthony cast the line toward the Primordial River once more.
Fishing is fine. Fishing makes me happy.
Fishing while sitting on a toilet, and chatting the group at the same time? That's triple the happiness.
And so Anthony resumed his tirelessly cheerful fishing. Two more hours passed like that — he'd reeled in items worth over two hundred Points in total — when the float dipped and bobbed again. Anthony's gaze sharpened, and he snapped the rod upward in one clean motion.
A brilliant flash of light appeared on the hook, and for a single dazed instant, Anthony's vision went white.
Wait. That color — does that mean—
Did I just reel in a gold-tier drop?!

[K Company Security Personnel Standard-Issue Weapon]
[Description: A product of K Company — Wings of the World, born from the city. Renowned above all for its medical expertise, K Company has incorporated a trace amount of its signature product — the Ampoule — into the standard equipment of its security personnel, ensuring their continued survival. Though present only in a minuscule quantity, it is more than sufficient to protect an employee's life once.]
[Recycle Value: 566 Points]
Holy —
The moment Anthony clocked that recycle value, his expression changed entirely.
I KNEW fishing was worth it. Over a day's worth of grinding, thirty-plus catches, and I've finally reeled in something with a genuinely rare drop rate!
In one sense, this was the lowest-tier Originium Technology product in existence. But in this world — no matter how low-grade it was — if it bore the name Originium Technology, it came with effects that defied all rational explanation.
And as for the Originium specialty belonging to K Company, Wings of the World — the Ampoule — its defining feature was a restorative capability that was powerful to the point of being simply unreasonable.
Strictly speaking, it was less "healing" and more "restoration" in a conceptual sense. It reverted you — directly and completely — to whatever state your subconscious defined as your ideal.
The weapon itself wasn't particularly valuable. What was valuable was the trace amount of Ampoule contained within it.
And despite that eye-watering recycle value, Anthony had absolutely no intention of recycling it.
He had something better in mind.
Using it on himself was out of the question. The Ampoule had no effect on Anthony — as a soul, he had no physical body for it to work on, and no brain to supply the subconscious impression it needed to function.
When you got down to it, an Ampoule couldn't bring a person back from the dead. It was a healing tool, nothing more.
But just because he couldn't use it didn't mean no one else could.
In fact, the moment Anthony had laid eyes on that Ampoule, he'd already figured out exactly where it needed to go.
Jonathan Joestar.
He had an idea — and if it worked, the intact physical body that Jonathan's resurrection required would be taken care of. The Ampoule was the linchpin of that plan.
Far-fetched as it sounded, the Ampoule operated on a conceptual level. It could take effect even on inanimate matter. Which meant the room for creative application was enormous.
"With this, the 'complete physical body' condition in Jonathan's resurrection requirements has a solution… and the Points can be taken straight from DIO's place. That side of things is covered too."
"Not bad at all. Resurrection is actually within reach."
After running through the follow-up plan, Anthony found himself concluding that this particular stretch — all things considered — was more or less sorted.
The groundwork for the plan was essentially in place. What remained was the actual execution.
Which meant there was one last thing to take care of right now.
With that thought, Anthony immediately pulled up his [Soul Ability Tree] and pressed a finger down onto the glowing orb.
For the plan to succeed, his remaining Points needed to go into leveling up his own abilities. The stronger he got, the higher the odds of Jonathan's resurrection plan pulling through — and the bigger his cut of whatever rewards the chat group handed out when the mission dropped.
Anthony drew a slow breath. His gaze steadied.
"Chat group — give me the stat points."
"Let's see exactly where your ceiling is."
