As they traveled there was a small island in the vast sea of this world where there is no land to come across there is a small island its about only twenty km in diameter its in circular shape the nearer they get to the island the luminous the sea became suddenly the ripples that were moving above the surface of the water dived in but the captain and the others were fine after entering the water the kids were even in a passed out stage inside the water and the blue luminous light of the water starts to take a shape its like a tree but it was under water the small island on top of the surface seems to be the foundation of the tree.
The tree seemed so vast and colorful that it's almost endless. There is nowhere the top of the tree can be seen. It's like the world is inverted and the endless sky seems limited and the bottom of the sea becomes truly infinite.
After reaching some distance there are a number of guards who were in charge of letting people in after seeing captain waltz face and processing little procedures. They let them in the tribe's nest after reaching this point the tree is so beautiful there is small tree houses here and there large monumental builds somewhere and many shops restaurants and basic amendments of normally living people
Evan who opened his eyes shrugged while keeping his hand on head
"Ahh did we make it ain't we fighting something were are we "
The others were awake already and looking at him with a dumbfounded expression they didn't seem to remember what they heard from the captain. The tribe's people were looking at the kids with proud reaction on their face the kids cant understand their reaction why would they look like that and we didn't even kill anything
"Why do they look so happy we didn't do shit it's embarrassing"
Drake was looking calm and said
"Even if we didn't kill it we fought a ravager there is no hope of even fighting it with out being a reader and we are just listeners who went to the cradle and fought a grown ravager it's a feat that's never happened in history of our tribe well there are this chosen one's but we are just normal kids and are weapons are just man etched so it's quite a great achievement"
Suddenly Evan was blushed and proud with his chest forward like a real kid and reacted how one would in this situation. The village seemed to be at peace; they welcomed the kids and treated them nice.
Phil asked Drake
"You know a lot aren't you also one of us how did you know more its not like your a reader or a person who completed the second trial so how do you know a lot"
Phil looked forward and said
"I don't clearly remember anything we discussed while returning but I get a glimpse of you talking about things we don't know like my memories become hazy at where you spoke. How could you know this information? Your hair color is also quite rare black as not a lot of kids even know that color. So, who are you?"
Drake didn't express anything in his face and said
"I am Drake and nothing more or nothing less. I came this far with my hard work not with the help of anyone. True the neibours helped me grow but I didn't have my parents"
The other kids were shocked. It seems growing as an orphan in the tribe is extremely rare. It's almost like a myth that goes around so the kids were so out of next words their emotion is complicated like they didn't know what to say or what expression to make they can't pity for some one if they don't feel the need to pity for the current feeling like they simply don't understand the true grief of some one who truly grown without parents
"Yeah i get that a lot but the people of the tribe were nice and caring so i never felt the gap of not having my parent's"
Evan said
"That's why you can already attempt the second trial before becoming a reader my parents would never allow me to"
"I was going to become a reader in a few days thats way i attempted the second trial"
Drake replied
Everyone was shocked suddenly the twins talked it seems Jike is older
And Pike is younger they spoke like one person one word from Jike and other from Pike
" 'you how' 'old are you' ''
Drake was taken back by the question
"How old i am just four waves old what your younger than me or what"
Phil and Evan seem not to react much because they too were four waves old but the twins were in embarrassment. They were five waves old but they seem to be the weakest of the kids there and in five waves most of the kids would have completed the cradle in time of fourth wave and fifth wave. So being five waves old without competing the cradle is unlike for the war crier tribe
Evan thought
"Their parents should be worried that must be the reason"
The twins spoke
" 'we thought' 'if your going to' 'become a reader' 'you would be old' "
Drake didn't answer them and sat calmly at the ripple Evan, Phil and the twins also seemed to be lost in thought and sat without saying anything.
Drake notices that the captain and the god killer seem nowhere to be found and they were traveling on the ripple alone.
They came a long way and at a distance they saw a large structure of circular cabin situated far away form the normal people roaming area and its almost as big as the foundation island on the surface. Even though they cannot see the bottom of the sea Drake was disdain and thought
'One day i am gonna reach the abyss and that day this world will answer all my questions '
As he thought that suddenly a couple of ripples joined their march toward the circular structure they all came back from their cradle and on their way to meet the queen
