Chapter 52 - Chapter 53: The World Tree Descends

The silver tree pierced the sky above Seoul.

Slowly.

Majestically.

Like something ancient returning to a forgotten homeland after thousands of years.

Its branches stretched endlessly through the clouds while glowing leaves drifted across the city like fragments of moonlight. The moment its roots emerged through the dimensional fracture above the Han River, the atmosphere of Earth itself changed.

Mana density skyrocketed instantly.

Hunters across Seoul nearly lost balance as overwhelming energy flooded the city.

Even ordinary civilians felt it.

A pressure unlike anything humanity had experienced before.

And yet—

it felt strangely peaceful.

The gigantic silver tree radiated warmth instead of hostility, its glowing branches illuminating the night sky while the enormous runic circles above Seoul continued rotating slowly across the heavens.

The system activated worldwide.

[Realm Synchronization Successful]

[Elfaine Connected To Earth]

[Global Mana Density Increased]

[World State Updated]

Humanity officially entered a new era.

Inside the World Hunter Association headquarters, alarms erupted throughout every floor as dimensional readings spiraled beyond all predicted values.

Analysts shouted across the command chamber while screens overloaded continuously from unstable mana measurements.

"This is impossible!"

"Mana density in Seoul just tripled!"

"Multiple gates worldwide are mutating!"

Director Han Minji stared silently at the massive silver tree displayed across the central monitor.

Even from satellite view—

the World Tree looked enormous.

Its glowing branches extended beyond the clouds themselves, silver particles continuously falling into Seoul like divine snow.

And somehow—

the city wasn't collapsing beneath its presence.

That alone defied logic.

One of the analysts swallowed nervously before speaking again.

"…Director."

Han's gaze shifted slightly.

"We're receiving system updates globally."

The monitor changed immediately.

New information flooded every registered hunter interface across Earth simultaneously.

[New Feature Unlocked]

[Dimensional Compatibility]

[Realm Resonance]

[Authority Recognition]

The room became silent.

Because those terms—

had never existed before.

Han narrowed her eyes slightly.

"…The system is evolving."

No one disagreed.

Because it was obvious now.

The old hunter era was ending.

Meanwhile, outside the Association headquarters, panic and awe spread equally throughout Seoul. Millions of civilians filled the streets staring upward at the impossible silver tree now rooted partially within reality.

Some cried.

Some prayed.

Others simply stood frozen in disbelief.

Because no one could deny it anymore.

Fantasy had become real.

Suho stood silently on the apartment balcony beside Sera while glowing silver leaves drifted through the night air around them.

The moment one leaf touched his hand—

the system reacted.

[Elfaine Resonance Detected]

[Compatibility Assessment Beginning]

The leaf dissolved into particles of light instantly.

Sera stared upward speechlessly.

"…That thing's bigger than the city."

She wasn't exaggerating.

The World Tree towered over Seoul like a pillar connecting dimensions themselves.

Its presence alone distorted nearby clouds while silver energy flowed continuously from the fracture above.

Suho's interface continued updating rapidly.

[Authority Signatures Detected]

[Foreign Realm Entities Entering Earth]

Then—

another notification appeared.

[Special Warning]

[The Boundary Between Worlds Has Become Thin]

Suho's expression hardened slightly.

Because he could feel it too.

Earth no longer felt isolated.

The world finally connected to something much larger.

A sudden gust of wind swept across the balcony.

Then a voice spoke quietly behind them.

"The synchronization stabilized faster than expected."

Sera immediately spun around.

Suho already knew who it was.

Eryndor stood calmly inside the apartment as though dimensional beings appearing uninvited inside people's homes was perfectly normal.

Silver light drifted softly around his body while his glowing eyes focused entirely on the World Tree outside.

[Entity: Eryndor]

[Race: High Elf]

[Authority Level: High]

Sera blinked repeatedly.

"…How did you even get in here?"

Eryndor tilted his head slightly.

"The door was unlocked."

Silence.

"…That's not the point," Sera muttered.

The High Elf ignored the comment completely.

Instead, his gaze shifted toward Suho.

"You spoke with the Administrator."

Not a question.

A statement.

Suho remained quiet for several seconds before answering.

"…An echo of her."

Eryndor's expression softened slightly.

"…Then fragments still remain."

That sounded strangely relieving coming from him.

Sera looked between them with visible frustration.

"…Can someone explain things normally for once?"

Eryndor glanced toward her calmly.

"…Earth was once hidden between dimensions by a divine authority known as GAIA."

"…Yeah, we already reached the cosmic nightmare stage," Sera replied dryly.

For the first time—

a faint smile appeared on Eryndor's face.

Very brief.

Very small.

Then his expression became serious again.

"The World Tree stabilizes dimensional overlap between Elfaine and Earth."

His silver eyes moved toward the glowing tree outside.

"Without it, your world would collapse from synchronization pressure."

Suho finally understood.

The tree wasn't invading Earth.

It was anchoring the connection safely.

Sera folded her arms slightly.

"…So you're helping us?"

Eryndor became quiet.

Then—

"For now."

Not comforting.

At all.

The system suddenly activated again.

[Emergency Event Detected]

[Unstable Gate Mutation]

[Location: Southern Seoul]

All three of them froze instantly.

Another notification followed immediately after.

[Classification Updated]

[Dungeon → Dimensional Rift]

The atmosphere inside the apartment changed immediately.

Because that term—

was new.

Suho's eyes narrowed.

"…A Rift?"

Eryndor's expression darkened slightly.

"…Already?"

Sera looked between them sharply.

"What's a Dimensional Rift?"

The High Elf answered quietly.

"…A failed synchronization point."

A pause.

"…Where worlds collide incorrectly."

That sounded terrible.

Before anyone could speak again, the city trembled violently.

Then screams echoed faintly from somewhere beyond the district.

Suho moved immediately.

Sera followed without hesitation.

Eryndor watched them for a moment before turning toward the World Tree outside.

His glowing eyes narrowed slightly.

"…The Resonance accelerates."

Far above Earth's atmosphere, beyond dimensional barriers and fractured realities, countless ancient eyes slowly turned toward the glowing blue planet now visible once more among the worlds.

And for the first time in thousands of years—

Earth had become reachable.
