One day later, Aira was returning from her trip.
It was the last day.
That night, they talked normally.
Like before.
No overthinking.
No distance.
Just… them.
They were on a call.
Aira sat quietly in the bus while everyone around her was enjoying—
dancing, singing, laughing.
But she preferred peace.
And talking to her felt enough.
Suddenly, Aarohi said,
"I don't know what I'm feeling…"
There was a pause.
"I think I have a crush on a girl… but I love my boyfriend so much."
Aira went silent.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She knew.
She knew who that girl was.
But she didn't say anything.
"So… try to understand what you're feeling,"
Aira said softly.
"Yeah… I'm trying," Aarohi replied.
Aira quickly changed the topic.
"Tomorrow is Christmas. What are your plans?"
"I'll bake cupcakes and spend time with my family," Aarohi said.
"What about you?"
Aira looked out of the window.
Festivals never meant much to her.
"I'll sleep."
Aarohi laughed.
"😂 Enjoy your sleep."
"When will you reach home?"
"Tomorrow morning."
"Okay."
After the call ended—
Aira kept thinking about that one line.
"I have a crush on a girl…"
A small smile appeared on her face.
She felt happy.
She didn't know why—
but she didn't stop herself either.
She opened Aarohi's novel and started reading for a while.
Then slowly—
she fell asleep.
Around her, the bus was full of noise and excitement.
But inside her—
there was calm.
The next morning—
A message popped up.
"What's your favourite color?" Aarohi texted.
Aira smiled slightly at the random question.
"Blue. Yours?"
"Green."
"Okay."
She reached home.
She felt happy seeing her mother and family again.
Everything felt warm and familiar.
Her mother had made her favorite food.
She spent time with her family, talking and laughing.
Later, when she got bored, she picked up her phone.
She opened a GL Thai series.
She loved GL series very much.
Aarohi, on the other hand, loved K-dramas.
She had never watched any GL series.
And Aira had never watched K-dramas.
They were different in many ways.
But still—
connected.
Aira hadn't watched any GL series for many days.
So now, she wanted to watch it a lot.
As the scenes played—
she found herself thinking of her.
She started imagining—
watching it with Aarohi.
Talking about it.
Laughing about small scenes.
She saw her in everything.
After watching for a while, Aira paused the screen.
The scene was still.
Two characters looking at each other—
silently understanding everything.
Aira stared at it.
For longer than usual.
Without thinking, she picked up her phone.
Took a screenshot.
And sent it to her.
A few seconds later—
a message came.
"What is this?"
Aira smiled slightly.
"Just a scene… I liked it."
There was a small pause.
"You watch these series?" Aarohi asked.
"Hmm."
"You should make me watch one someday,"
Aarohi replied.
Aira looked at the message.
Her heart felt a little lighter.
"Maybe…"
But inside—
she knew she wanted that.
To sit with her.
To watch something together.
To share those small moments.
Even if it was just a thought—
it felt real enough.
