"Are you okay?" Melissa asked.
"No. I am not okay, What kind of monster was that exactly? He broke my arm in less than a second, it's almost like I went up against some kind of creature from a different dimension."
"Well that is to be expected, he did dodge and defeat Jake with zero effort."
He looked at Melissa in confusion.
"How, what and why. What is he exactly?" He asked.
"Right now I don't know anything about him. However, we'll figure it out."
At lunchtime Daniel didn't exactly have anyone to exchange words with. Because of that he was forced to be with the only person available that day who is Arisu. He didn't particularly dislike Arisu, she was just a bit too aloof for his taste.
"Daniel." Arisu asked me, I was in the middle of stuffing my mouth with food so her timing did annoy me a bit.
After chewing I answered,
"What?"
"What did you do with Melissa back then? Don't lie."
"She needed help with something not so important."
"If you refuse to tell me then I guess that's it."º
The next day, Melissa didn't come to school. Perhaps it has something to do with that guy. I should try and get in contact with her as quickly as possible, ensuring her safety.
The weekend has arrived, and Melissa didn't show up to school a single time since that incident happened. Luckily, I managed to identify her school Email and through that I got her private Email to then lead me to hair phone number and at last her location through phone number.
As soon as I got home from school I took out my phone and proceeded to call her.
"Hello its Daniel"
"What do you want"
"Ive seen you've been absent from school lately why is that?"
"Why do you care?"
"Why wouldn't I care about a friend?"
"What do you mean by friends? we hardly ever spoke."
"Thats right, I consider you my friend even if you want it or not."
"Whatever."
The call went silent for a couple seconds, both of us found it very awkward.
"So can I come over?"
"Why-" Before she finished her sentence she seemed to have changed her mind.
"You know what, fine, come over. I'm guessing you already know where I live?"
"That's right, I'll be heading now so goodbye for now."
The call ended. I got up from my bed, threw over my coat and tied my shoes.
The walk took about 10 minutes till I got to her home. Before I entered I got a bit uneasy, I could sense eyes lurking in my direction.
"Knock, knock", the door silent but surely opened. There Melissa stood in front of me. She looked unusual, she was wearing some kind of pyjamas.
"Come in."
We went straight to her sofa where we sat down and began our conversation.
"So Melissa, why haven't you been to school lately?"
"Ive been busy."
"Busy with what?"
She stood up, and turned herself so that she was looking in my direction.
"Daniel, you know what I think? that you are a disgusting human being."
"Whats that supposed to mean?"
Before her next sentence, she freezed. Almost like she was waiting for something to happen.
"Knock, knock" we heard. Who could it possibly be?
