Riku smiled. He was not surprised. Everything had been planned from the start; there was no room for accidents.
The only surprise was Rika Minami and Rei Miyamoto. Riku had only expected them to reach the level of Bronze Saints. He had not expected them to connect with Silver Cloths. Clearly, over the past fourteen years, they had worked very hard.
"Hmm."
Riku looked up at the blue sky. "Saeko, do you think Saori Kido will contact me?"
"She will," Saeko replied quickly. "Mr. Riku, I can sense the Goddess's resolve. I left the clues exactly as you told me, and she made her choice without hesitation."

Saeko knew that before the war in the Sanctuary, Eris, the Goddess of Discord, had tried to attack Athena. In the end, it was this young woman named Kyoko who had stopped Eris.
"Goddess," Saeko said. She did not bow, but she gave a slight nod.
Saori Kido looked more mature now. Even though she was only fifteen, the power of the gods had turned her into a tall, elegant beauty with purple hair. She looked ninety percent like the woman Riku had seen that night.
This was quite strange. Usually, a human vessel for a god would not look so similar unless they were almost fully merged. It seemed that Saori Kido and the Goddess Athena shared a much deeper connection than just a human vessel.
"A very clever plan," Saori Kido said. "If you hadn't leaked the information yourself, Saeko, even I wouldn't have noticed the changes. What message did he send with you?"
Saeko's voice was calm. "Mr. Riku says he will attend the banquet on time."
