Chapter 23 - Chapter : The Absolute Extraction

Date: 13/03/2021, Saturday

Location: Ground Zero, Geneva, Switzerland / Inside the C-Rank Hell Gate

The atmosphere inside the dungeon no longer resembled a battlefield; it felt like a heavy industrial mining zone. Behind the purple barrier, the imprisoned C-Rank Boss continuously battered the invisible wall with all its might. Its heavy roars echoed through the cavern, but not a single Dunger outside paid it any attention. The GDA team was entirely focused on their objective.

The mining team's Magitech pickaxes and excavators operated without pause. Deep blue and silver crystals, along with glowing ores, were carefully extracted from the walls. This was no ordinary excavation; it was a systematic extraction where not a single usable resource was wasted. The Dungers' heavy bags filled rapidly.

On the other hand, the collection team's work was purely surgical. The corpses of the dozens of monsters slain by the S-Rankers were not left behind. Every single body was packed into heavy-duty containers. The Essence Stones and Mana Cores extracted from the monsters were given the highest priority and secured in special vaults.

Both the dungeon's resources and the monster corpses were the raw materials of this new economy.

The operation continued relentlessly. Every Dunger pushed past their limits, driven by clear orders to squeeze this dimension completely dry. The S-Rankers and elite GDA guards maintained strict surveillance to ensure zero distractions during the mining process. Richard Vance stood motionless, his cold eyes observing the flow of the entire operation. His mind was already calculating the future value of these resources and outlining blueprints for new Magitech weapons based on them.

Exactly three hours later.

It was 03:20 PM. Nothing remained in the C-Rank dungeon. The cavern that had been brimming with radiant crystals and glowing ores three hours ago was now completely empty and dark. Only rock and dust remained on the floor. The walls had been mined with such precision that not a single drop of mana was left. The entire dungeon had effectively become a barren, decaying cave.

Aris stepped forward and delivered his report to Richard. "Sir, the extraction is complete. The mining and collection teams have finished their work with one hundred percent efficiency. All resources, materials, and monster corpses have been loaded into the containers."

Richard glanced at the empty structure of the cave and gave a slight nod. His gaze then shifted to the Boss behind the barrier, who was now exhausted but still harbored fury in its eyes.

"Operation complete," Richard ordered in a cold, authoritative voice. "Alton, deactivate the barrier. Strike team, finish the Boss."

Alton Moris immediately turned the dial on his machine. The humming sound ceased, and the invisible purple wall dissolved in a second. The moment the barrier vanished, the Boss attempted one final charge, but before it could advance, the four S-Rankers moved in unison.

Their blades swung in perfect synchronization. Without any extra effort or prolonged struggle, the Boss's head was severed from its body. Its massive corpse crashed to the ground with a heavy thud. Upon its death, the C-Rank Core and other essential materials dropped, which the collection team instantly secured.

With the Boss eliminated, the dungeon's dimension began to destabilize. A vibration rippled through the air, signaling that the Hell Gate was about to close.

"Move out," Richard commanded.

The entire GDA force, carrying their heavy containers and loaded bags, marched out of the portal in a disciplined line. The moment the last Dunger exited, the thirty-foot Hell Gate vanished completely without a sound. Only the ordinary soil of Geneva remained behind.

Outside Ground Zero, dozens of heavy-duty GDA transport trucks were already lined up. The Dungers immediately began loading their entire haul—crystals, ores, essence stones, mana cores, and chopped monster body parts—into the trucks.

"This entire cargo goes straight to the R&D department," Richard said, looking toward Victor and Vanice Flora. "I want a detailed analysis of these materials. Testing for forging weapons and armor from the bones and hides must begin tonight."

"Understood, Director," Victor replied strictly.

The truck engines roared to life, and the heavy convoy rolled out toward the GDA Central Command's underground R&D facility. Richard Vance remained standing there, watching the convoy depart. The entire existence of the C-Rank Hell Gate was now packed inside the GDA's containers. The raid was an absolute success, and the dungeon had been officially squeezed to its last drop. The operation had concluded completely and perfectly.
