Chapter 131 - CHAPTER 131:THE ONE TIME OFFER

The fleet drifted in the void between stars, regrouping after the liberation of Ashara's Wake. Behind them, a billion souls circled in formation—the largest army Kafu had ever commanded. Before them, twenty-seven worlds waited, each one a new battle, a new harvest, a new chance to break chains.

But Kafu did not look at the star charts. He stared at the golden text blazing before his eyes.

[DIVINE GOD SYSTEM — URGENT NOTIFICATION]

"Host has achieved a milestone unprecedented in system history. 1,001,000,000 liberated souls have joined the cause. 3,825,000 living slaves have been freed. The golden threads have reached critical mass."

---

THE ONE-TIME OFFER

The text shifted, reformed, became something Kafu had never seen before—a contract written in golden light, its edges burning with power that resonated with his own soul.

He read the terms.

[WARNING — SOUL HARVESTER'S CONTRACT]

"This contract was created by the First Dreamer himself, intended for the being who would unite the living and the dead. Accepting it will bind host to the souls of all who fall under host's command. They will be host's to command, host's to protect, host's to free. This is not a burden to be taken lightly."

Kafu stared at the contract, his gold-red eyes tracing every line, every word, every promise.

Ten billion CP. Fifty billion soul slaves. An army of the living and the dead that could challenge the Royal Families themselves.

Kyrella appeared beside him, her Starlight form soft in the dim light of the bridge. "What is it? You've been staring at nothing for ten minutes."

Kafu did not look away from the contract. "The system is offering me a contract. The Soul Harvester's Contract. For ten billion CP, it will increase my soul slave limit to fifty billion."

Kyrella's form flickered. "Fifty billion? That's... that's enough to command armies that could challenge the Royal Families."

"That's the point." He turned to face her. "If I accept this, every enemy we kill becomes a soldier. Every soul we free joins our cause. The Shadow Collective, the Harvester, the Varnax family—they were just the beginning. With fifty billion souls, I could free every world in chains. I could challenge the First Varnax himself. I could—"

He stopped. His hand went to the rune on his heart.

"I could wake her in a world that is safe."

Kyrella was silent for a long moment. Then she took his hand.

"You have carried the souls of three million followers for years. You have carried the weight of their hopes, their fears, their dreams. You have never complained. You have never faltered. You have never broken a promise."

She looked into his eyes.

"Fifty billion souls will be heavy, Kafu. Heavier than anything you have ever carried. But if anyone can carry them, it is you."

---

THE CONTRACT

Kafu looked at the golden text one last time.

He raised his hand, his fingers tracing the golden letters, feeling the weight of what he was about to do.

"I accept."

[CONTRACT ACCEPTED — SOUL HARVESTER'S CONTRACT]

The golden text blazed, then dissolved, flowing into his chest, into his soul, into the golden threads that bound him to twelve million souls. For a moment, Kafu felt as though he was drowning—in light, in power, in the weight of a promise that would never end.

Then it settled.

THE WEIGHT OF A BILLION SOULS

Kafu opened his eyes. The bridge of the Golden Scorpion was the same. His wives were the same. The fleet was the same.

But he was different.

He could feel them now—all of them. The billion souls he had freed from Ashara's Wake, waiting in the void, their hopes fixed on him. The three million freed slaves, building new lives in New Hope, their dreams carried by his threads. The hundred thousand shadow soldiers, waiting in the darkness, their purpose bound to his will.

They were heavy. They were light. They were everything.

Kyrella studied his face. "How do you feel?"

Kafu was silent for a long moment. Then he smiled.

"Like I can free the world."

---

THE FLEET MOVES ON

Varus approached, his datapad glowing with new intelligence. "Master, the fleet is ready. The next target is the Sunken Citadel—a fortress world that has held slaves for 200 million years. Fifty thousand slaves. Ten thousand defenders. An Eternity Master commander."

Kafu nodded slowly. "And the souls?"

Varus consulted his datapad. "The Sunken Citadel is built on the ruins of a civilization that was harvested 500 million years ago. The souls of the dead are trapped in the foundations, powering the fortress's defenses. Estimates suggest... five hundred million souls."

Kafu's gold-red eyes blazed. "Then we free them. All of them."

He turned to the star charts, to the world that had been built on the bones of the dead, to the battle that would add half a billion souls to his army.

"Set course for the Sunken Citadel. And tell the shadow army to prepare for a harvest."

---

THE GATHERING

As the fleet moved through dimensional space, Kafu stood at the viewport, watching the stars blur past. His wives gathered around him, their auras bright with anticipation.

Kyrella spoke first. "Fifty billion souls. That is enough to challenge the Royal Families themselves."

Morana's shadows deepened. "Enough to free every world in chains."

Sylva's flowers bloomed brighter. "Enough to build a civilization that will last forever."

Kafu touched the rune on his heart. "Enough to keep my promise."

He turned to face them.

"The Sunken Citadel has five hundred million souls trapped in its foundations. We free them. They join our cause. And with every world we free, our army grows. The Shadow Collective had forty-seven worlds. The Harvester had five. The Varnax family had twelve. There are thousands more, waiting to be freed."

He looked at each of his wives.

"The Royal Families have ruled for a billion years. They think they are eternal. They think the chains they have forged will never break. They are wrong."

He raised his hand, and the golden threads blazed around him.

"We will break every chain. Free every soul. Keep every promise. And when the First Varnax stirs, when the Royal Families finally move against us, they will find an army of the living and the dead, bound by a promise that cannot be broken."

He looked at the star charts, at the Sunken Citadel waiting in the void.

"Now let's go free some slaves
