"One hundred percent?!"
Both Recovery Girl and Principal Nezu raised their voices in shock.
After all, they didn't truly understand Shina Etsuha's abilities. That uncertainty was exactly why they had questioned him so directly, despite him being just a student. But his firm, unwavering answer caught them completely off guard.
A 100% success rate… for treating All Might's injuries?
"Shina, you're not lying…?" Recovery Girl asked, still in disbelief.
"Well, your concerns are understandable," Etsuha replied calmly. "After all, the decision to proceed with treatment isn't mine—it's yours."
He didn't bother dressing up his words.
"The success rate is absolutely 100%. However, with my current strength, I can only carry out the treatment in stages. If that doesn't satisfy you, then forget it. I have other things to do."
He turned without hesitation.
Etsuha had no interest in continuing a pointless discussion. He wasn't obligated to stand there and justify himself—not even to the principal.
Snap!
The door closed behind him, leaving the room in stunned silence.
"…Was he just… offended?" Recovery Girl asked, momentarily at a loss.
"This kid…" Aizawa Shouta pressed a hand to his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. "He's seriously troublesome."
Students like this… did they even exist?
Standing before them were Principal Nezu and the highly respected Recovery Girl—figures whose words carried weight across the entire hero world. And yet, Etsuha had simply turned around and walked out without a second thought.
Even Aizawa had to admit—his understanding of "students" had just been completely overturned.
Principal Nezu, however, remained thoughtful. After a brief silence, he shook his head lightly.
"…It's not that he's unpleasant," Nezu said. "If anything, we were the ones at fault. We approached him too abruptly, placing that kind of pressure on a young man."
Aizawa swallowed. He had been about to say that Etsuha might simply not care about authority—but in this situation, he chose to stay quiet.
"Let's postpone the treatment for now," All Might said, trying to ease the tension.
Although the principal and Recovery Girl had spoken harshly, their concerns were justified. All Might was more than just a hero—he was a symbol. Even if his transformation only lasted three hours a day, he could not afford to take unnecessary risks.
"Yes," Nezu agreed with a faint smile as he looked out the window. "Shina is an exceptional young man. I believe in that."
He paused.
"I simply need time to verify it."
"Time…" Aizawa Shouta echoed, also glancing outside.
Sunlight streamed through the window. As it hit his eyes, he instinctively narrowed his pupils to fine points, instantly reducing the glare to a comfortable level—without blinking.
"Mr. Aizawa… your eyes…" Nezu suddenly noticed something unusual.
During their entire discussion, Aizawa hadn't blinked once.
For someone with chronic dry eye, that should have been impossible. Normally, he would have needed eye drops long before this point.
Yet now… he seemed completely unaffected.
"That's strange," Recovery Girl muttered, stepping closer. She examined Aizawa's eyes carefully—and then froze.
"There's no redness… no irritation at all!"
Her expression shifted to shock.
"Your dry eye condition… it's gone?!"
Aizawa exhaled lightly, clearly relieved.
"Oh, this?" he said casually. "Shina fixed it. He modified the structure of my eyes—used genetic references from animals like cats and octopuses. Now I don't feel any fatigue, even if I keep my eyes open for ten minutes straight."
He paused slightly.
"…Honestly, it feels incredible."
As he spoke, he noticed the stunned expressions on Nezu and Recovery Girl's faces.
"…What?"
"This is genetic modification," Recovery Girl said, her voice trembling slightly. "He didn't just treat your condition—he fundamentally altered your eye structure. Do you realize how complex that is?"
At a glance, Aizawa's eyes still looked human.
But upon closer inspection, they were far more advanced.
Self-cleaning. Self-moisturizing. Light regulation far beyond normal human limits.
"This…" Even Principal Nezu was visibly shaken. "How long did it take him to perform this modification?"
"A few seconds," Aizawa replied after thinking back. "He just touched my eye—and it was done."
"…!"
Both Nezu and Recovery Girl were stunned once again.
A complete genetic modification…
In mere seconds?
What kind of quirk was that?
They exchanged glances, and after a moment, Nezu let out a quiet, helpless sigh.
"…It seems we spoke too hastily."
Recovery Girl nodded slowly.
"His ability is far more extraordinary than we imagined."
