Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

The idea of using a Quirk to create manga was definitely something worth exploring. Although Yaoyorozu Momo possessed an impressive understanding of molecular structures, both illustrations and text required extremely fine precision—it wasn't something that could be achieved simply by assembling parts like a machine.

The two of them spent quite some time thinking it through. In the end, they realized that expecting Yaoyorozu Momo to directly produce a complete manga was still too ambitious. Even after racking their brains, she could only generate paper and very basic shapes. As for detailed artwork or text, that was still beyond her current ability.

Even so, since this was their first attempt, Shina Etsuha was already quite satisfied with the results. Right now, Yaoyorozu Momo simply lacked experience with manga itself. Once she gained a deeper understanding of it, producing detailed illustrations would likely become much easier.

The two continued discussing manga for quite a while, completely unaware that Aizawa Shouta had already appeared in front of them.

"Ahem!"

Aizawa Shouta interrupted their conversation with a deliberate cough. Once everyone's attention shifted to him, he spoke:

"Class is starting now. And just so you know—your grades are already bad enough. I won't be going easy on you."

The "you" he referred to was clearly aimed at the second-year students who had remained behind.

Hearing this, several of the second-year seniors chuckled, wearing relaxed, confident smiles.

"Don't worry, Aizawa-sensei. Even if we're here because we failed our exams, we won't be overtaken by newcomers. We'll teach them what life at U.A. is really like."

"'What life at U.A. is really like'… that sounds kind of scary," Yaoyorozu Momo murmured, shivering slightly.

"Oh? Really? Then I'm relieved," Aizawa Shouta replied casually, not pursuing the topic further. He glanced at Shina Etsuha and continued, "Most second-year students are already out assisting at Hero offices. The ones here stayed behind due to failing exams. Your task is to keep up with their pace so you won't fall behind."

After a brief pause, he added pointedly:

"Also, I know some of you might already be as strong as pro Heroes. But understand this—there are levels even among professionals. The difference between those who graduated from U.A. and those who didn't is enormous. Don't let early strength make you arrogant. This school is filled with talented individuals—more than you can imagine. Even here, you'll encounter students far stronger than expected."

That statement was clearly directed at Shina Etsuha.

As a teacher, Aizawa Shouta needed to establish authority, and this was one of his usual methods.

The second-year students all nodded in agreement. After all, this was exactly why countless people competed desperately to enter U.A.

After observing the reactions of the three recommended students, Aizawa Shouta continued:

"For tomorrow's event, we've invited a recently rising pro Hero to assist. As for today, those staying behind will continue with regular classes."

"U.A. already has plenty of pro Heroes. Why invite someone from outside?" a student asked.

"The guest is a newly debuted Hero," Aizawa Shouta explained. "That makes them very different from the instructors here. Their Quirk is purely combat-focused. Facing them will let you experience raw, unfiltered pressure. That will be extremely beneficial for you."

"Whoa…"

A wave of excitement spread through the students. Even Shina Etsuha found himself intrigued by the upcoming event.

"Before that, we'll proceed with normal classes," Aizawa Shouta said, cutting off further discussion. He glanced at the schedule and announced, "Since we have new students, today's lesson will be different. Our first class is… 'getting to know each other.'"

"Introductions?" Yaoyorozu Momo asked.

"No," Aizawa Shouta replied flatly. "Quirk combat."

"Wait!"

Yaoyorozu Momo couldn't help but react in shock.

"Are we fighting the seniors? Or are the seniors fighting each other while we just observe?"

"You're students now," Aizawa Shouta said coldly. "So naturally, you'll participate."

"But we just got here! There's no reason to throw us into combat immediately!" Gojima Ryōzō protested.

Aizawa Shouta's tone left no room for argument.

"Combat is an essential part of being a Hero. Do you think you'll be able to avoid sudden battles once you become one? The purpose of this lesson is to teach you how to face opponents with unknown Quirks."

"Oh no…"

Both Yaoyorozu Momo and Gojima Ryōzō looked completely defeated.

But Shina Etsuha, on the other hand, felt a surge of excitement.

A fight?

Perfect. He'd been itching for one.
