"Fighting the teacher…?"
"No, the teacher is a Pro Hero…"
"Hey… are first-year students at U.A really supposed to fight their teacher?"
Hearing Aizawa Shouta's words, the voices of Class A trembled with disbelief. Shoto Todoroki's expression sharpened, while Bakugo Katsuki's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Interesting… is this U.A's first lesson?"
"Relax," Aizawa said calmly. "You're all too weak. There's no point in fighting me. Shina is the only one here qualified to face me."
His tone remained flat, but his intent was clear.
"Today's lesson is simple. You will understand the gap between professional Heroes and students—and learn how to use your Quirks in real combat."
As he spoke, Aizawa pulled a suitcase from behind him. Inside, several heavy chains were visible.
"This is a limiter developed by the Support Department. It slightly restricts my movement."
He calmly strapped the limiter onto his limbs, testing the weight before nodding in satisfaction.
"This way, my strength won't be overwhelming. Shina's Quirk is powerful, but his physical body is still a weakness. That's something he needs to understand."
"So that's it…"
The class murmured in realization. No wonder Aizawa was willing to fight—he was deliberately handicapping himself.
Etsuha watched silently, then couldn't help speaking up.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to use a limiter?"
Aizawa's Quirk, Erasure, could nullify other Quirks simply by looking at them. But Etsuha's abilities—his ice and his Sharingan—didn't function like normal Quirks at all. In a sense, Aizawa's ability would be ineffective against him.
That meant this fight would come down to pure physical ability.
And with a limiter… the outcome was far from certain.
But Aizawa shook his head.
"It's for fairness. Otherwise, there'd be no suspense."
He said it plainly—but it was clear he didn't truly consider Etsuha a threat.
"…Alright."
Etsuha didn't argue further. He stepped forward and took his place at the center of the training ground.
The U.A. field was massive—more than enough space for a battle like this.
The two stood roughly ten meters apart. Instantly, the atmosphere grew tense.
Aizawa took out a coin.
"I'll toss this. The moment it hits the ground, the duel begins."
He paused briefly before adding:
"No rules. You can use any method to defeat me. If either of us surrenders, the match ends."
"An unrestricted duel…" Midoriya Izuku muttered, his pupils shrinking.
That meant exactly what it sounded like—anything was allowed. Attacks to vital points like the eyes, the back of the head, even lethal strikes… nothing was off-limits.
It was essentially a real fight.
"Sensei is confident…" someone whispered.
"Of course he is," Minoru Mineta said casually. "He's a Pro Hero. Beating a student should be easy."
Most of the class silently agreed.
"Throw it already!" Bakugo snapped.
The coin spun high into the air, glinting in the sunlight. After a few rotations, it fell—
Clink.
The instant it hit the ground—
Aizawa moved.
His eyes flared with intensity, and the capture weapon behind him sprang to life like a living creature!
"That look…!" Midoriya gasped. "So that's it—he's the Erasure Hero, Eraser Head!"
"Eraser Head?" others echoed in confusion.
"A terrifying Pro Hero," Midoriya explained quickly. "His eyes can erase any Quirk he sees. Without a Quirk, Etsuha—"
"He'd be helpless," someone finished.
"So that's why he used the limiter…"
"Without his ice, Shina can't even form a weapon…"
Before the discussion could continue—
Whoosh!
Aizawa's figure blurred forward like a cheetah. Even with the limiter, his speed exceeded normal human limits.
In an instant, he was behind Etsuha, launching a kick.
"Your fighting style depends entirely on your Quirk," Aizawa said calmly. "Without it, you're defenseless."
But at that exact moment—
Etsuha turned his head.
His eyes had already changed.
Crimson irises. Spinning tomoe.
The Sharingan.
Then—
He moved.
In a flash, Etsuha mirrored Aizawa's movement perfectly, slipping behind him at nearly the same speed—and counterattacked with a kick of his own.
"What?!"
Aizawa's expression changed instantly.
Etsuha's movement… was identical to his.
The kick struck Aizawa's arm with a heavy impact. His face darkened, but his reaction remained sharp. As he blocked, his capture weapon lashed out from behind him.
Multiple bandages shot forward like serpents, aiming to bind Etsuha completely.
But Etsuha didn't dodge.
His eyes had already seen through every trajectory.
Instead, he raised his hand toward Aizawa.
"What kind of stance is that…?"
Aizawa frowned—but in the next instant, a chill ran down his spine.
Instinctively, he retreated.
And just as he moved—
A massive icicle erupted from Etsuha's hand, thicker than a human body, crashing violently into the ground.
BOOM!
The entire training field shook.
