Chapter 112 - Chapter 112

The Nomu incident didn't have a major impact this time.

Although Nomu were undeniably powerful, their strength only matched that of one or two pro heroes at most—and their numbers weren't nearly enough to stand against the entire agency. Surrounded and overwhelmed by multiple heroes, the remaining Nomu were quickly eliminated.

Only the two Nomu handled by Shina Etsuha were kept alive. The others couldn't be restrained, leaving no option but to kill them outright.

By now, the agency had come to fully understand the unique nature of Nomu. These creatures couldn't be treated like ordinary villains—destroying them wouldn't damage a hero's reputation.

Interestingly, after the exposure of the first Nomu factory, the League of Villains seemed to vanish. For a long time afterward, there were no reports of suspicious disappearances in the area. As a result, overall city security improved significantly, and crime rates dropped sharply.

A few days later, Etsuha's internship came to an end. At the same time, he received a notice from U.A.—it was time for him to return to school.

With that, his time at Best Jeanist's agency came to a close.

After saying his farewells, Etsuha made his way back.

"Thinking about it… my involvement has already changed the League's actions quite a bit," Etsuha muttered as he stood at the gates of U.A. "Originally, they were supposed to attack with a group of low-level thugs. But now that they've developed Nomu in advance… if they attack again, it might be a full force of them."

He paused, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"But that works in my favor. Hypnosis is basically a perfect counter to Nomu. No matter how many they send, I can deal with them."

Lost in thought, he walked toward the entrance—only to find a crowd of reporters blocking the gates, shouting loudly.

"We're reporters! What right does U.A. have to keep us out?!"

"If the principal doesn't give us an explanation, we won't leave!"

"This ridiculous defense system—what kind of school needs doors this thick?! What are they afraid of?!"

"We want to interview Shina Etsuha!!"

"…!"

U.A.'s defense system was extremely advanced. Once the massive alloy gates were sealed, entry was virtually impossible. Anyone without proper identification would trigger an immediate alarm.

Because of this, the reporters were stuck outside—unable to move forward or retreat.

"Reporters…"

Etsuha's gaze flickered slightly. In his eyes, they were nothing but trouble. They contributed nothing of value and only created chaos.

He considered waiting things out before entering.

But at that moment—

A young man dressed in black squeezed through the crowd and stepped up to the gate.

He raised his hand… and gently touched the massive alloy door.

In an instant, a powerful Quirk activated.

Boom!!

The enormous gate—one that even a truck couldn't break—was instantly destroyed.

For a split second, the reporters froze.

Then—

"An opening!"

Excitement exploded through the crowd. No one cared who had broken the gate. This was U.A.—who would dare openly attack here?

Seizing the opportunity, the reporters surged inside, triggering the alarm system.

Only Etsuha noticed something different.

The man in black was already turning to leave.

"…That build… is he from the League of Villains?!"

Etsuha's Sharingan locked onto him instantly.

"Don't run!"

The moment the man met Etsuha's gaze, a chill ran through his entire body. He hadn't expected to encounter him here. Forget disguising himself—he immediately fled toward a nearby corner.

"He understands me… so he's not Nomu?"

Etsuha frowned.

He briefly considered using Amaterasu to burn him down—but without a hero license, using lethal force could easily backfire legally.

Still—

Etsuha's physical ability alone was more than enough.

He sprinted forward at full speed. The gap between them shrank rapidly—from dozens of meters to just five or six in seconds.

"Stop!"

A cold glint flashed in his eyes.

No cameras. No restrictions.

With a surge of power, frost spread outward from beneath his feet, instantly freezing the man's ankle in place.

"Damn it!"

The man groaned. The freezing effect was overwhelming—his leg already felt numb and unresponsive.

Whoosh!

Five ice arrows formed behind Etsuha, shooting forward with piercing force.

But the man reacted quickly. The moment he was restrained, he slammed his hand down onto the ice.

A strange power surged out—

The ice shattered into fine snow.

At the same time, a purple portal opened beneath his feet.

Before the ice arrows could strike, he slipped into the portal… and vanished.

"…Was that Shigaraki Tomura?"

Etsuha stared at the shattered ice, deep in thought.

"After dealing with Nomu, now you're targeting U.A… makes sense. They're desperate to eliminate All Might."

Shigaraki's Quirk—anything he touched could crumble to dust—was something Etsuha had already witnessed multiple times. It was undeniably dangerous.

Clearly, this escape had been planned in advance.

Etsuha didn't pursue further.

Instead, he turned and walked back toward U.A.

And what greeted him inside—

Was complete chaos.

A massive crowd of reporters had already flooded the campus, conducting frenzied interviews everywhere.
