Chapter 3 - Caught

Ethan lay on the bed, watching Sophia attend to different patients. Out of boredom, he scanned her again through his system.

[Ding! Scanning for the intimacy target.]

Name: Sophia

Physical condition: Healthy

[Compatibility: 79%]

[Estimated lifespan extension: 3 days.]

Current account balance: 10008.23

The compatibility had increased by one percent.

Ethan didn't know where that one percent came from, but he guessed it might be because yesterday's intimate encounter hadn't been in vain.

"Let's try something different tonight." He slapped and kneaded Sophia's buttocks.

Sophia turned around and glared at him.

She lowered her head and whispered in his ear, "Are you kidding me?! Didn't you see the person in the next bed today?"

Ethan turned to look at the bed next to him, where a man was watching them with a knowing look. Admiration was plastered on his face, as if he considered Ethan a role model to follow in this hospital.

The man in the next bed was named Rider, thirty-two years old, a company executive. He had been admitted this afternoon. From the snippets Ethan had overheard, this man also seemed to be suffering from kidney failure.

Ethan looked at him and smiled in a friendly manner.

Then he turned to Sophia and said in a low voice, "Go to your lounge."

"No," Sophia shook her head. "Go to the next room. I'll be there in fifteen minutes."

"Okay." Ethan nodded. He didn't mind, as long as he was getting the action.

Sophia straightened up, picked up the tray, and left.

"Big brother," Rider said with an admiring look, "you're in the late stages of kidney failure, yet you're still thinking about flirting with girls—and you actually manage to do it! Big brother is truly amazing!"

"Men will be men." Ethan raised an eyebrow and replied smugly.

He climbed out of the bed and slowly moved toward the next room.

---

Fifteen minutes later.

Sophia walked in carrying a tray.

"Whether you can get your little tool to stand this time or not, the price will be the same," Sophia said seriously as she walked to Ethan's side.

"Okay." Ethan nodded with a smile.

After receiving the answer she wanted, Sophia put the tray aside and pulled the curtain closed.

Ethan put his index finger on his lips, signaling her to stay quiet. He then proceeded to undo her skirt. After her skirt was undone, he admired her body. He kneaded her buttocks and admired her golden bush, rubbing it slowly.

Sophia looked at him shyly, but Ethan paid her no heed. After rubbing her golden bush, he knelt down, sniffed her pubic area, and exhaled softly. "Different kind of drug, it is."

Sophia was also aroused by his behavior. She grabbed his hair and pushed his head into her pussy. Ethan didn't complain and started licking while playing with her buttocks.

Just as they were about to proceed further, the sound of a door opening came from outside.

"Squeak—"

"Sophia, are you inside?" a clear female voice called out.

Upon hearing this voice, Sophia quickly leaned close to Ethan and whispered, "Get her away!"

Don't come here!" Ethan's voice was stern. "Don't disturb my sleep."

"I'm sorry," a crisp apology rang out.

Then the sound of a door closing was heard.

"You scared me to death!" Sophia straightened up and patted her chest. "My best friend was sleeping just now, but I didn't expect her to wake up so quickly. I'm going back."

"Don't go yet." Ethan grabbed Sophia's hand. "Ten more minutes!"

"What good is ten minutes when you can't even use your little brother?" Sophia's eyes were full of sarcasm.

"It will work!" Ethan's eyes were firm.

At the same time, he thought to himself, Once I recover, I will make Sophia beg for mercy!

He looked at Sophia with a mocking gaze.

Sophia didn't reply and leaned down again.

---

Ten minutes later.

"I told you it wouldn't work!" Sophia rolled her eyes at Ethan.

Ethan smiled but remained silent.

[Ding! Dual cultivation complete.]

[Life extension: 3 days.]

[Current remaining lifespan: 6 days.]

[Reward: 1 low grade Rejuvenating Pill]

Ethan felt much better now.

Sophia pulled her hair back into a ponytail and tucked a stray strand behind her ear. She glanced at Ethan, then quickly looked away.

"Transfer the rest of your money to me."

Ethan picked up his phone and wired her the money.

Sophia took out her phone, checked it, then picked up the tray, turned around, and left.

Soon, the sound of the door closing echoed.

Ethan stared at the ceiling, a slight smile playing on his lips. He had gained three more days of life.

---

Dave called at that moment.

"Mr. Ethan!" The voice on the other end was full of energy, completely different from the man with droopy, tired eyes the previous night. "Have you gotten your medicine yet?"

"Dave, what do you think of the medicine's effectiveness?" Ethan asked slowly.

He deliberately avoided answering Davin's question. Next, he would definitely negotiate with Davin, so the pace of the negotiation had to remain under his control.

"The effect is amazing! Seven times last night!" Dave's voice almost burst through the receiver.

"Twenty years! I haven't been this intense in twenty years!.

"And after it was over, I just felt tired—not like that feeling of being completely drained."

He paused, lowered his voice, and said with urgency, how much of this medicine do you have left? I'll take a hundred!"

Ethan scoffed. Dave, do you think this medicine is as cheap as cabbage?"

"How many pills do you have?"

"I only have one left. If I didn't need money urgently, I wouldn't be selling it so cheaply."

"I get it. 20,000! I'll take it!"

"Dave, 20,000 isn't even enough for the medicinal herbs. Excluding, my knowledge and the time I spend preparing them.

"30,000!"

"Mr. Dave, it takes me a month to make just one pill. It's exhausting!"

"50,000! One price! If you don't agree, I'll have my people come talk to you!"

Ethan laughed. "Mr. Dave, don't you find it ridiculous that you're threatening someone who's at the end of his life?"

"I have urgent business. I'll come again next time—"

Davin's words were cut off as Ethan abruptly hung up the phone.

Now that he had the initiative, he naturally held the negotiation power. He would be a fool to sell the pill cheaply.

---

He got out of bed and walked slowly, preparing to return to his room.

Suddenly, a beautiful woman stepped out from behind the curtain next door and looked at him teasingly.

"I'm Sophia's best friend. My name is Rose."

She stood in front of Ethan, who looked slightly baffled, and introduced herself.

Then she crossed her arms and looked him up and down, analyzing him as if all his secrets were laid bare before her.

She wore a pink, tight-fitting nurse uniform, with two buttons undone at the neckline, revealing just enough cleavage to glimpse her full, fair breasts.

Her hair was loose, and her features were even more beautiful than Sophia's. Her slightly upturned eyes gave her an indescribable charm.

Ethan paused for a moment, then laughed.

"So it was you who knocked on the door just now?"

"Yes." Rose nodded, her eyes narrowing. "After I knocked, I hid behind the curtain."

Ethan was speechless. He knew she had witnessed everything.

"I heard my best friend breathing heavily," she added.

"She was performing CPR on me," Ethan said calmly.

"CPR?" Rose chuckled. "Do you think I'm a child? Does CPR sound like that?"

"Perhaps my heartbeat is difficult to revive," Ethan replied seriously.

Rose stared at him for three seconds, then suddenly burst out laughing.

"Fine. You're stubborn."

She leaned against the wall and tilted her head.

"I don't care what you were doing," she said. "What I care about is—how much did you pay her?"

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "How did you know there was a financial exchange?"

"You just confirmed it," Rose said smugly.

Ethan groaned inwardly.

"Now that you've admitted it," she continued, forming a circle with her fingers and licking them teasingly, "why not tell me the amount? I can make you feel like you're in heaven."

Ethan felt a stir of desire.

"Four thousand," he said.

"Four thousand?" Rose's eyes lit up.

"Take your pants off."
