The next to arrive was Dagrule. The True Giant. 1/3rd of Ashura he was technically not a demonlord. He was physically incapable of becoming one. But his strength and current beliefs aligned with us. His magicule count was as dense as its amount was absurd.
He nodded at me politely. Milim finally snapped out of her day dream.
"Dagrule good to see you again! We should fight again sometime!"
Milim was excited. But by technically because she said later she was behaving.
The next to enter was Luminous. Who was in their female form. I guess they swapped since last time I saw them. She sat down next to Dino.
She was quickly followed by a small pixie in a black dress, Ramiris.
"Guy! Milim! Calux! How are three!"
She seems… energetic for someone who died and became a demon lord because of us.
"I'm fine"
Guy was brief about it
Milim looked confused for some reason. Oh right, she was berserk when she last saw Ramiris. And her memory is really bad. Not to mention Ramiris looks different.
"Good to see you again on better circumstances Ramiris. And apologies."
"Pfft. Don't worry about it I'm still strong."
"Calux? Who's the tiny person? Do we know them?"
"Oi, how dare you not rember me the great and powerful Ramiris."
"But your tiny…"
Ramiris looked really upset. However she actually was really weak outside of her labryinth or her true form.
"Milim to be fair we permanently look like children and aren't particularly tall either. And we are incredibly powerful."
Milim pouted at my response.
"Besides Ramiris power lies more in her labyrinth and true form than what you see now. Remember the sparkly lady you asked about after we became demonlords."
Milim frowned grabbed her head floated upside down and really racked her brain. Before putting her fist in her palm.
"Ohhh she's the sparkly spirit lady. What happened to her?"
I face palmed.
"She sacrificed herself to stop our fight with Guy. I don't blame you for not remembering. You were in a much more berserk state than I was. But I have told you this before."
"Oh Dino, Luminous, Dagrule, you guys are demonlords too."
"Dagrule isn't it's impossible for him after all but he strong and his beliefs align."
Guy answered and Dagrule noded at his response.
"Good to see you Ramiris."
Luminous was polite Dino on the other hand.
"What's up shorty?"
"Hey I"
I proceeded to tune out their argument that soon ended when Kagali entered she had footman and tear. It should be noted that many of us either didn't bring subordinates or didn't have any. Guy, Dino, Kagali, and myself being exceptions at the moment.
The elf deadmen glared at Milim and Ibriefly before taking a seat at the round table.
"Good to see you to Kagali."
I said somewhat sarcastically. I honestly wish she'd get over it, but I know that's basically impossible. The only reason she's not actively trying to kill me and Milim is because I broke her curse and returned her to normal.
Next two arrived shortly after one another I was completely in the dark about who they were. Couldn't be Carrion or Frey as they weren't even born yet. The first a tall muscular Kijin. He had black hair and kinda reminded me of benimaru, maybe his ancestor. He was accompanied by two very young kijin one with red hair and one white hair. I think they might be his daughters or something too young to be warriors. They were acting very nervous too.
"Kaito glad to see you made it who are these two"
Guy took initiative. After all he's the only one who keeps up with info on potential and current demon lords.
"They are my daughters, from different mothers. They think I'm strong. Unbeatable even.
He laughed self deprecatingly
"I brought them here to shatter that illusion."
Good reason as any. I gazed upon them with my Calux eye. Hmm the white haired one is a lot stronger than the red head. She even has unique skill. She packs a name unsurprisingly. Hmm I'm going to take gamble.
"You said your name was Kaito correct? I'm Calux Nava, twin of Milim Nava, and son of Veldenava. I would like to take your daughter with the white hair under my protection and charge."
That stunned everyone in the room.
"I will not ask this for you for free in return I will lend your people aid in a time of great need."
"I-I can not make this session for her. Daughter what do you think."
The room was silent I started leaking my aura. Not enough to crush the girl, but enough to show that despite how I looked I was powerful. The other demonlords understood what I was doing and said nothing.
She bowed
"I wish to learn and become strong!"
"Good I will come get you shortly after Walpurgis."
I nodded in satisfaction.
"Well now that that's out of the way. Have a seat Kaito. We are still waiting on one last person."
Kaito nodded and looked at me gratefully. The kijin like most monsters worshiped strength. The idea I would make her strong was to tempting to resist.
Man I need some make subordinates. I have no problem with having female subordinates, but at this rate Guy or Big sis Velzard are going to make jokes about me having a harem. And then because Milim is probably going to be in the room I'll have to explain what that is to her. Uggghhh.
We didn't wait long for the last candidate. Their race admittedly suprised me. It was a dark elf. And she also giving Milim and I a very ugly look while looking reverently at Kagali. Yeah that tracks. Gaia's miasma is the very reason the dark elves even exist. She's probably only heard the stories though. She feels too young to have been there.
"Welcome Shale. Alright everyone is here I call this first Walpurgis meeting of the demonlords to order. The first thing on the agenda is how we will interact with each other going forward."
"I propose we help each other if necessary or in exchange for favors if not necessary. I also suggest we vow to not interfere with each other too much, nor share information of each other to outsiders."
"I agree. Well said Calux. All those in favor raise your hands."
Everyone but Shale rose their hands, until she noticed cagali also raised her hand. Then she quickly raised hers.
Oh father she's gonna be such a pain.
"We also need to discuss Rudra and the Tenma Great War."
Everyone but the demon seeds and Milim sighed at that. Dino in particular face planted on the table. I think he was trying to fall asleep to not be involved. Milim goes without saying though she loves to fight so she doesn't care. The seeds don't seem to know what it is.
"Guy you want to explain to the new guys what that is."
"Sure. Kaito, Shale the Tenma Great War is an event triggered by the ruler of the western empire rudra by a skill he has that summons a massive amount of angels to attack everyone."
The two not at all subtly looked at Dino and his friends.
"Dino and those two are different you don't have to worry about them."
"Actually guy you should."
"Why? Do you say that Calux?"
"Not for the reason you think to be honest Dino probably is on our side. However Rudra has my fathers Skill Micheal. Micheal has a built in ability to control and force those who posses the 14 other angel skills."
Dino looked up in shock. Garasha and pico looked just as much so.
"How do you know that? Even I didn't?"
"I asked my father and he answered. He originally intend the ability in case the angels got to zealous in their service of him. However, it could potentially be used to force them to do acts they wouldn't agree with."
Dino, Garasha, and Pico looked conflicted. On one hand their creator made this to keep the primordial angels and whoever else got an angel named skill in check. But unintentionally it was capable of controlling them.
Dino broke the silence.
"Is.. there away to stop it."
"There are two but they are by no means easy. And I obviously haven't tested them but they make the most sense logically. The first is to be able to manipulate information particles to the point you can edit your own skills."
The fallen immediately grimaced as the was next to impossible.
"And the second?"
"Arguably more simple, but also extremely difficult. Evolve the ultimate skill."
Those with only unique skills who weren't in the know, mainly the two candidates and kaito's daughters. Didn't know what an ultimate skill even was they were an extremely rare existence. Atleast lore wise.
"That's possible?"
Dino was confused.
"Evolve is the wrong term more like upgrade since it's still an ultimate skill it can just do more, but the skill is fundamentally a new existence. For example during the last Tenma Great War my Ultimate Skill: Sekhmet, Lord of Carnage became Four Horsemen, Lords of Apocalypses. It evolved under stress of combat. I don't know if this would work for everyone and it would arguably be harder the stronger you are. I'm just lucky in a way I ran into a group of particularly strong angels."
That and big sis Velzard spontaneously wanted to do some no holds barred sparing in the middle of a war zone, but I won't mention that.
Authors note: probably one to two more chapters of Walpurgis then we move on to more stuff.
