The weather didn't turn. The Falcon brought them back to the forward position after dark, and Kordula went straight to the BACV.
Marianne was at the center table with the underground picture already open.
Three of the four sites were marked blue now, linked by thin lines that ran through the mountains. The fourth sat alone to the northeast.
"PCL-1," Marianne said.
The structure on the model was larger than PCL-4 and damaged in a way that didn't look like an avalanche.
The outer sections were broken in several places.
Some chambers showed as collapsed, others as open where they shouldn't be. Around the center of it, a ring of gray markers sat in positions that looked very intentional.
"Is that the security?" Kordula asked.
"Probably. It's active, but it hasn't moved much since we started watching it." Marianne enlarged the view. "Crystal Three went close this afternoon to get a better reading. They didn't go in."
"Why not?"
