One day, about half a month later, Ivan Gray came to Kingscrest to give Summer Thorne some documents.
They were all related to the investigation team's case. Summer knew these documents weren't easy to come by, so she read them very carefully.
Ivan sat nearby, waiting for her to finish before they talked, but his phone suddenly rang.
Ivan glanced at the caller ID and quickly answered, his voice unconsciously dropping to a whisper. "You're here?"
After a moment, Ivan replied to whatever was said on the other end, "I'll be right over."
He hung up, stood, and said to Summer, "Something's come up. I have to go. Finish reading these, then give me a call."
Summer nodded. As she watched him walk to the door, she suddenly asked, "Is he back?"
Ivan paused, then turned back to look at her. "You mean Mr. York? Oh, not yet. It's something else... I have to go."
With that, he hurried away.
