Timothy York slowly rose to his feet and walked over to her.
Summer Thorne wanted to shrink away, but her body wouldn't obey.
'It was like she couldn't move.'
Half of her body felt stiff and numb.
"How can you pretend something that's happened didn't happen? Why don't you teach me."
Timothy York stood before her, asking word by word.
"You can." Summer Thorne met his gaze and said slowly, "Just like how we are in public. We don't know each other well; we just have a normal relationship... As long as we don't see each other privately from now on, it will be fine."
Timothy York lowered his eyes and looked at her for a long time. "And what if I don't agree?"
Summer Thorne slowly shook her head. "You wouldn't be willing to hurt Miss Quinn."
"In your eyes, am I a man with such high morals?" Timothy York said. "If my morals were that high, then what were we from the very beginning?"
