Summer Thorne didn't quite understand why he'd frozen for that split second.
'Did he think I shouldn't be here, or that I shouldn't have seen Shirley Shields being dragged away?'
However, Mason Crawford quickly averted his gaze. His expression turned cold, and an icy aura enveloped him.
Whispers had already started rippling through the crowd.
"I think that was Mason Crawford's mistress. She came to cause a scene with him but ended up hurting Timothy York by mistake."
"Isn't she some kind of B-list actress? Has she lost her mind? Is she just throwing her career away?"
"Everyone knows what Mason Crawford is like. He's a total player who never gets attached. Making a scene with him? Isn't that just a death wish?"
"She should have known what kind of person he was when she got involved with him. Why can't she just let it go..."
As the discussion heated up, someone suddenly shushed them.
They probably noticed Summer Thorne's presence. The group hastily moved to another spot.
