The moment she made the sound, Summer Thorne was instantly annoyed.
When she turned around, she saw Timothy York had already hung up.
But that didn't make Summer Thorne breathe a sigh of relief.
Whether or not Silas Dunn had heard her voice, she had heard what he said a moment ago crystal clear.
Timothy York had hung up without answering, which meant the two had already reached an understanding.
Silas Dunn would be up soon.
"I have to go," Summer Thorne said. "You and Mr. Dunn have things to discuss anyway, so I won't get in your way."
"You're not in the way," Timothy York replied.
"Well, *I* mind!"
As she spoke, Summer Thorne tried to pry his hand off her ankle.

"It's getting late. I should head home."
