Julian Sterling assumed his words would make his mother reconsider.
But to his surprise, this time, Florence Morgan changed her tune.
"Julian, maybe… you should just give up. I'll slowly leak the news of your divorce. Once enough time passes, people will stop caring, and it won't affect your company too much. What do you say?"
Julian Sterling could hardly believe what he was hearing!
"Mom, what are you talking about? You want me to give up on reconciling with Evelyn Grant?!"
"I didn't want this either, at first. But looking at the state of things, every step you take is a huge struggle. It would be better to just give up on being together! I don't want to end up ruining things with her brother beyond repair, only for you to still have no chance of getting back with Eve."
