Liam Wentworth couldn't get to the airport in time, so he had one of Rose Wentworth's bodyguards take the call.
"Tie her up and bring her back. If she dares to resist, beat her within an inch of her life!"
"If you kill her, I'll take the blame!"
"Do it now!" Liam practically roared the last three words.
Liam also made sure to apologize to Zoe Monroe over the phone. "My cousin is a psycho. Please don't hold it against her. When you get to Northgate, I'll treat you to a meal to make up for this."
Zoe Monroe didn't care whether Liam treated her to a meal; she just found Rose Wentworth incredibly annoying. It wasn't until she was on the plane that she heard from her sister what Rose had done at The Hot Spring Resort.
"She hired someone to sleep with my brother-in-law?" Zoe was stunned; she had only ever seen such plots in novels and TV shows. "It didn't work, did it?"
"No, because the person in the bed was Liam Wentworth."
