Ruan Fu woke up in a daze, the lingering pain in her neck a stark reminder of what had just happened. Mo Ran had knocked her out and brought her back—again. It was the same familiar cave, the same familiar bed, and even the same familiar sensation of her limbs being bound. The slightest movement was enough to send the sound of clinking chains echoing throughout the entire cave.
Ruan Fu turned her head and saw Mo Ran sitting by the bed, watching her. When the chains clinked, she actually caught a fleeting glimpse of joy on his face.
"What a pervert," she thought.
She couldn't control herself, nor did she want to. The next second, she raised her arm as far as the restraints allowed and slapped Mo Ran squarely across the face. The crisp SMACK sounded surprisingly melodious in the quiet cave.
