"What?!"
The few leaders at the front shot to their feet, their faces instantly paling.
Everyone else in the room also stopped what they were doing, looking over in astonishment.
"What happened to Miss Donovan?"
"Miss Donovan was visiting Brynn University with her brother today when she was in a car accident near campus."
"How could she just get into a car accident? How is she now? Is she seriously injured? Has she been taken to the hospital?" Ron Cole rattled off several questions, his anxiety palpable.
Yet, the young man who had rushed in to deliver the news had an exceptionally complicated look on his face when he heard these questions.
"Well, spit it out! How is Miss Donovan?"
"Miss Donovan... she's fine."
"Fine?" Ron Cole and the others froze, exchanging bewildered glances.
"That's right. Miss Donovan is completely unscathed. It's just..."
"Just what?"
"Director, it's better if you see for yourselves." The young man placed his laptop on the table and stepped aside.
