That day, after getting out of the medical trailer, Stella Lockwood wandered about aimlessly and happened upon a secluded garden. The building there was a lounge the production had rented, used exclusively by the director and producer for meetings and breaks.
The window was ajar, and she could hear voices from within, mingled with the faint sounds of a man and woman laughing and teasing each other.
Driven by curiosity, she crept closer to look and was startled by what she saw. The producer, Mr. Rhinehart, was flirting with Ruby Bellamy. He planted a hard kiss on her. With a coquettish laugh, Ruby kissed him back before leaving to get ready for the night scene.
Stella Lockwood was terrified. As she turned to flee in a panic, she stepped on something, making a noise that alerted Mr. Rhinehart.
