After they left, Sean Quinn emerged from the bathroom. He replayed the recent events in his mind, a small smile playing on his lips. He felt a surge of joy but dared not show it. He quietly slipped out of the room, but Reaper Yates was nowhere in sight. 'Could it be he didn't follow me just now?'
It wasn't until he walked out of the main house that he saw Reaper Yates emerge from a corner with a gorgeous woman by his side. The two were laughing and chatting, and it seemed they hadn't seen Stella Lockwood pull him into the room.
Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, he headed toward the center of the banquet hall and walked up to Reaper Yates. "Where did you run off to?"
Reaper Yates glanced over with a smile. "Just looking around."
His expression was completely normal.
"They were giving Stella a hard time, weren't they?" Reaper Yates scanned the well-dressed crowd for her, spotting her back at the old man's side.
