"What's the interesting new discovery?" Sean Quinn asked.
"Niles Shelby is in tight with a major family. And this same family has ties to Peter Chapman..." Morton Grant replied slowly.
Sean Quinn's expression hardened, and he nodded. "I know. It's the Rowe family. The Shelbys and the Rowes are old family friends. The Rowes' niece, Hannah Hutchins, is married to Peter Chapman."
He'd investigated this privately before. The Rowes were a family with deep roots in both government and business. The three brothers of the current generation had all done extremely well for themselves—one in politics, one in commerce. Peter Chapman's current status was inextricably linked to the Rowe family's support.
"There's one more thing you might not know."
"What is it?"
"Niles Shelby... is very likely an illegitimate son of the Rowe family."
This speculation caught Sean Quinn by surprise, and his interest was clearly piqued.
"Oh? And where did you get this information?"
