"I was burned alive." The thought alone sent a sharp pain through her heart.
Reaper Yates's expression was complex; he was utterly shocked.
"Then who was the last person you saw?" he pressed.
"Sean Quinn. He arrived at the scene and said he would avenge me. Then I lost consciousness."
Alan Shea nodded. "In your past life, what was your relationship with Sean Quinn?"
"We had no relationship. We were practically strangers. That's why I was so surprised when, right before I died, I saw him rush over frantically to see what had happened to me."
Now, she was beginning to understand. 'He was in love with me. He just never showed it in my past life, keeping it hidden in his heart. That's why his reaction to my death was so intense.'
Alan Shea looked toward the empty space beside Stella Lockwood again. "Alright, now it's your turn to speak. How were you occupying Sean Quinn's body before this?"
An eerie silence fell over the room.
