Why her?
Sean Quinn's mind was racing. 'What is the connection between the woman in that period costume and the woman standing before me now?'
"What are you doing here?"
Stella Lockwood walked up to him and waved a hand in front of his face. His expression was strange, as if he'd just seen a monster—and she seemed to be the cause.
'Is my outfit that ugly?'
She looked down at her own costume, which had supposedly cost a fortune to make. It was gorgeous. Ethereal and beautiful. Everyone agreed it was one of the most stunning looks in a period drama, destined to take the internet by storm when the show aired.
In fact, in her past life, this very costume had indeed drawn rave reviews.
But seen through his eyes, it seemed to have lost its appeal.
"Is it really that bad?" Stella Lockwood did a little twirl. Her graceful figure, the gentle smile, the tender look in her eyes, and the bright sparkle within them—even though she wasn't in character, the sight was breathtaking.
