"Hey, what's with the big reaction?" Stella Lockwood stared at Reaper Yates.
"The water was too hot." He stuck out his tongue and waved his hand dismissively.
Stella Lockwood touched the teacup. The water did seem a little too hot.
"You two, carry on..." Reaper Yates casually blew on his tea, smoothing over the brief interruption.
Stella Lockwood snapped out of it and continued chatting with Rhea Vaughn. Five minutes later, the video call ended. Stella hugged a throw pillow and flopped onto the bed. Reaper Yates left, his expression a little pained as he went. 'Looks like he really did burn his tongue.'
She sighed softly. 'I've already been absent from the shoot for four days without any explanation. I have no idea what's happening with the crew—Director Wynn must be losing his mind. If this keeps up, my role will probably be recast. Then how am I supposed to win an award with this show? How am I supposed to make my comeback?'
'How frustrating.'
