The others nodded in agreement and headed together to a top-tier computer room. The room was a well-soundproofed private suite equipped with exactly two computers.
Ethan Ellison sat down and looked up at Iris Dalton. "Are you competing against me yourself, or is he stepping in?"
Before Iris could answer, Carter snatched the other chair, sat down, and patted Ethan's shoulder. "Shorty, I'll be your opponent. With your paltry skills, you're not worthy of having The Great Wylie make a move!"
Ethan's face darkened. He hated it most when people called him short! "Hmph!" he said, grinding his teeth. "Let's see how you lose to me!"
Both sides settled in, booted up their computers, and got to work. Two massive screens mounted on the opposite wall allowed the spectators to watch the match's progress in real time.
