Master Sherwood of Valerium was on good terms with Simon Sherwood. Seeing the man trembling with a guilty, panicked expression, how could he not understand what had just transpired? He was instantly so furious that his head buzzed, the veins on his forehead bulging.
The sacrifice scheduled in two years was meant to activate the Sherwood Clan's Array. It concerned the fate of the entire Sherwood Clan, yet Simon Sherwood had the audacity to use a fake to replace his biological daughter, Claire Sherwood. Did he really think he could fool their ancestors with this bait-and-switch trick? He was far too naive.
This matter was of grave importance, but it was still an internal issue within the Sherwood Family. Having it exposed by the people Nancy Monahan had brought over caused the Sherwood Clan to lose face.
