Tristan Sherwood's words left everyone in shock. They stared at him in disbelief, appalled that he would say such things. Was he really her biological brother? Was he treating his sister entirely as a tool for a marriage alliance?
Tristan felt deeply uncomfortable when he noticed the strange looks directed at him. Seeing Iris Dalton cast a cold, indifferent, and distant glance his way only made him feel more stifled.
"Iris, why can't you trust me?" he asked in frustration. He truly meant her no harm; he was doing it all for her own good.
Everyone else was speechless. They thought, "Trust you? Like hell! You just sold your sister out on the spot, and you still expect her trust?"
