Professor Liang Ang was a visiting scholar and jointly-trained doctoral student at Imperial College London, sponsored by the State Ministry of Education. He was a doctoral supervisor and a Level-1 expert at Pinfan Hospital.
He was also a leading figure in Lin Province's health sector, proficient in various surgeries for liver cancer, hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and pancreatic cancer, as well as complex and difficult hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and Liver Transplantation surgeries.
He had repeatedly broken Pinfan Hospital's records for difficult surgeries, setting and still holding the record for the largest documented liver cancer resection—a tumor weighing six kilograms with a diameter exceeding forty centimeters.
