Shen Siyuan hadn't expected Director Han from the National Natural Science Foundation Committee to personally contact them about an inspection so quickly.
Her own professor truly admired Wu Ting. Shen Siyuan found herself feeling a bit envious.
"Director Han, we're preparing to conclude Wu Ting's current project. For various reasons, we've decided to adjust its scope. We will wrap up this project using the results from the first two phases of the research on a radical cure for HBV-related primary liver cancer, which will allow Wu Ting to get his master's degree. As for phases three and four, they have higher requirements and need much more funding. Therefore, we plan to launch those as a separate, new endeavor—a long-term, in-depth research project for the team."
This had been the plan Wu Ting and Shen Siyuan had laid out from the very beginning.
