In that moment, Chen Yuhui could have easily dodged. The accident had nothing to do with him, yet he still acted on instinct, pushing the student to safety and putting himself in harm's way.
Many of the parents present were quite wealthy. They had always looked down on auxiliary police officers as the lowest rung of society—uncultured, poorly paid, and with no future prospects, just people coasting through life.
But today, Chen Yuhui's actions showed them the nobility of the human spirit. It proved that no matter how humble the job, it comes with its own responsibilities and convictions.
After Chen Yuhui's accident, the leadership from the relevant traffic police division rushed to the emergency department of City First Hospital. They waited outside the department for news on the surgery's outcome.
Fan City TV Station also dispatched reporters to cover the story.
