Ronan smiled sheepishly. "That's not it. How about we say we're both equally at fault on this one!"
Ruthless scoffed, his patience at its limit. In just a few strides, he closed the distance to Ronan. "Are you sure we're equally at fault?"
Faced with the handsome face suddenly so close, Ronan's gaze flickered away as he lowered his head. "But it *was* fifty-fifty!" His voice grew increasingly aggrieved.
'I was totally exhausted that day too, okay?! I paid a price for it!'
A smile flashed in Ruthless's eyes, but unfortunately, Ronan, who was looking down, missed it.
